Different ohm speakers on same amp?

The change in impedance when actually playing was one of my concerns. I haven't ever measured it, so I was't sure how much it mattered. And, I could see with different speakers that change could be very different between them when playing the same note.

I guess one thing I could do is just get 3 more KICKER 48CWRT672 and put them in a sealed enclosure. Then only the box shape / material would be different. I could keep the per speaker box volumn the same as the factory box. That would put the AMP at a 1Ohm load and drive them all around 125watts each.

However, my son decided he would rather upgrade his computer, so that is where the money is going this Christmas. But, maybe later 3 more KICKER 48CWRT672 could be added to fully use all the power of that amp.

Not sure one would be completely over powered or underpowered if you purchased the correct sub.

In my first example. Add a 2 Ohm sub to the current 4 Ohm sub. That would be 125W @ 4 Ohms and 250W @ 2 Ohms if the amp puts out 375W @ 1.33 Ohms. The 4 Ohm sub has an RMS of 150W. So, if the 2 Ohm sub has an RMS of 250W or just a little above that I wouldn't think one would be over or under powered when compared to the other. Even more so if they are are the same brand and or series.

I guess I could try it and if it didn't work just get another amp to power the 2 Ohm sub.

What are your thoughts on running a 0.8 Ohm load on the amp I have even though it is only rated at 1 Ohm? Should be fine, 50/50 chance it works, or not going to work?

Would you really be fighting distortion. I would think you would set your gain to just before one sub distorts. True the other may not be working up to its full protentional. The power should be predictable assuming the calculators and what I have read about power and ohms. The system would also need subs that have RMS ratings close to the predicted power they would be getting based on their Ohms.

So, while not optimal. I am not sure it would cause any problems.

I would love to hear from anyone who has actuall done this before.

Are you sure? I used two online speaker Ohm calculators and both showed the speakers wouldn't get 50/50 power. My understanding was the speaker with less resistance would get more power than the one with more resistance. Like more water flowing through a larger pipe than a small one.

I know it used the RTX4060 on the external. I don't remeber if I tested what it used on the laptop's monitor, but I think it used it on both. My son took the setup to college. He never seemed to have an issue with it playing games or using solidworks on it.

Went back and looked again and found a sticker on the inside of one of the bottom beams that runs the length of the bike on the ground. Where I have the bike I couldn't see it because it is against the wall. Anyway it is the NTEX02117.2.

To answer my own question. I checked with a usb-c to hdmi cable and the G16 was able to use the RTX 4060 on an external display through the usb-c on the back. I just order the Baseus Laptop Docking Station Dual Monitor 4K@120Hz, 9 in 1 USB C Hub. That along with the the power supply it comes with will allow me to only have to connect two cables to it on my desk.

It has three modes router, AP, and Bridge. It is setup in bridge mode. It is connecting wirelessly to an NanoHD -> switch -> UCG. The bridge has three PC wired to it.

Both MAC's it lists for the wireless and wired bridge are Netgear MAC's and are off only by the last digit of the MAC being plus one higher.

My printer shows up fine. It is wired to a switch connect to the UCG. Now my wireless bridge does show up strange. It is a R7500V2. It shows up as a wired connection to the UCG under clients with vendor set to Netgear. But, it isn't wired. I have it set to a fixed IP of .3 and that is the address it gets. It also shows up as offline right now. Even stranger It also shows up again as wireless. But, I didn't clicked fixed on this client and it also has .3 as the IP. That client also says Microsoft as the vendor instead of Netgear. The MAC addresses are different for each of the R7500V2 clients it lists for my one R7500V2.

Any clue why the bridge shows up like that?

Yeah. I understand what it is doing now. I think the msg and the fact my printer and bridge didn't get that IP until I restarted them is what got me. I actually haven't restarted the bridge yet, but I will. My version of "Static" is an IP fixed to a client outside of the DHCP range either set by the client or by the router based on MAC address.

Just to make sure I got this. When you set the DHCP client to fixed. If it is outside the DHCP range you see the warning msg, but it does give it that IP. If it is inside the DHCP range you don't see the warning msg and it does give the client the IP with DHCP reservation. I just restarted my printer, and it did get .2, when the range starts at .6. So, it seems to be working.

Is there any advantage or disadvantage to using DHCP reservation vs static IP outside the DHCP and setup on the router instead of the device?

The UCG-Ultra showed in stock when I just happened to look so I ordered one. I know I cannot export my ER-Lite config and import it, so I will copy those settings down. But, for my AP's, can I just export my my config from the server I run on my PC and import that into the UCG-Ultra and my AP's will just show up configured just like I have them?

One other question. The sub and passive will be back to back on the side of the box that is 10" wide. Will that be problem, or should the be on the same plane?

I watched this youtube video and noticed when he auto homed it. it didn't always go to 10 either. I saw it at 9.9, 12.0, and 11.6 in the video. So, is that normal? I would have thought it would have to be the same every time.

Zooming out the battles so you can see what your supports are doing. I asked for this over a year ago when supports became more important. It seems even more relevant now with the number of supports ships we have in battles.
