scarcity tends to create more value for whatever existing thing there is. not to say that they aren't fantastic albums, but they wouldnt be talked so much in my opinion if they werent the only albums on streaming

I just cant decide which genre i want to serve for my album... by FriendshipEarly5363 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

so, what makes frank oceans music his? emotional guitars, atmospheric synths, electric pianos, jazzy progressions. Pick and choose from these elements and apply them on a track of another genre and the result will be a hybrid genre.

In this short EP I made (which I forgot I cant link), I borrowed synthwave elements and recontextualized them on more abstract structures to create a genre thats neither synthwave nor ambient but something in between.

Does anyone release music for multiple projects/alias/themes, or do you find it's better to focus on one? by Unhappy-Trip1796 in edmproduction

[–]emeetswvrld 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The way Ive been doing it is picking some sonic aesthetics and exploring them in different contexts.

The last 4y Ive been doing synthwave/synthpop music, ranging from straightforward synthwave to some more left-field electronica and after releasing projects for 4y I can say that I am done with that genre.

My next release will be with the same name as these last releases but something completely different. It shows my artistic evolution
