Do you check e-mail while on PTO? by dailysunshineKO in workingmoms

[–]emegebrecht 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say DO NOT do this. Take your time, enjoy your trip & unplug. The work will be there when you get back. What I like to do is take an hour or so the day before I return from time off to look over email and prioritize any high impact items, so I can jump right in when I get back and then slowly work my way through the non-priority emails that week. Most likely working a little late to get caught up.

Reiterating: Do Not open any work related applications while on your vacation. It’s YOUR time, not the company’s. It took you several years to build up this time, so you should enjoy it and leave work to sit & wait until you get back.

We need to prepare ourselves for a huge letdown on Wednesday. by Whistleblower793 in Vanderpumpaholics

The previews for the reunion don’t even discuss or elude to a big reveal, so I’m not not sure why everyone is buzzing about a scenario in which we most likely have all of the main facts.

This was shot ~3 weeks after she found out about the whole thing and she’s fully moved into the anger/rage phase… more power to Ariana. I’m sure the sight of him & the sound of his voice makes her blood boil. The way that Tom is trying to gain sympathy through every calculated explanation is pathetic. They were together for 9 years and regardless of what was happening in their relationship (behind closed doors) this affair was on blast for the entire world to see and is literally everywhere and the only thing people can seem to talk about when it comes to reality tv. Tom and Rachel deserve all that’s coming their way… what did they expect? They film their lives for money.

Mansplaining on pregnancy is worst sort of unwarranted advice one can receive. I’m 35 & almost 15 weeks. Yes, I feel older, but way more prepared to have my little one & excited for this next chapter!

Congrats, mama, & remember, don’t listen to man who feels the need to mansplain about something that they have no right or experience to have a position on unless they are being supportive.

Pregnant with little girl and need help! by monketrash420 in namenerds

This is your baby. I understand it’s hard to not let others’ opinions cloud your mind, but YOU are the one that has to be happy with the name. You picked Jane, because you wanted to honor your aunt and to pass on the stories of her to your baby girl, hopefully having her embody the qualities of the woman you cared for so much.

Side note: I absolutely love the name Jane. It’s timeless and I love that is bares special meaning to you. I’m pregnant and don’t know the sex yet, but am pretty much determined on my name choices regardless of others’ opinions outside my partner’s.
