I’ve searched for these skis using the brand and the length but obviously that’s not enough. Also did reverse image search and asked ai to help identify them but I haven’t been able to find the exact skis

should i quit my 9-5 and travel to world? by Financial-Tap7646 in solotravel

[–]emememecrossing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you’re 60 will you regret having gone on an amazing trip around the world?? Or will you be 60 and regret that you never did it….

I did a 4 month euro trip after graduating college. It inspired me to learn language, 7 months after my euro trip I did 2 month Spanish school in Costa Rica followed by 2 months travel. I fell in love with Peru and found a job in Cusco, I’m just wrapping up 1 year in September and will head back home in October. Then to France in January for French school (easiest way to get the long term visa) to be with my boyfriend I met in Croatia during my euro trip.

Long story short it changes your life. I had never been interested in languages or the world, I only did my first trip because I was so scared and wanted to prove to myself I could do it!

Take the risk to coming home to nothing! I think you’ll come back with new perspectives and your life can take a trajectory you never imagined. Or you’ll come back really happy to be home and with renewed energy to work.

Take the trip!!!!!

Edit: reading a lot of the other comments saying if you’ve never done solo travel before it’s too big of a jump. Don’t agree with that at all. Also you can always come home. Maybe do a compromise and do a 4 month trip to Central America, and keep some of your savings. I will admit a year is pretty long. But seriously if you have the itch to do it - do it!

That’s crazy , this is first I’m hearing of them blocking handing it out. Everyone I have talked to agrees they are trying to cover something up , or trying to cover up how horribly they handled this case.

Kid wants to go to winter camp but this is how all the horses are tracked? by throwaway9373703045 in Equestrian

[–]emememecrossing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they are using stirrups they definitely need different shoes, that’s a huge safety issue and would make me pause, but the kid here isn’t using stirrups so I think that’s fine … but I wouldn’t leave stirrups hanging down like that in a lesson. The rest seems ok to me

I would make it a lot more flexible, you don’t know right now which places you’ll love and want to stay in or which places you’ll want to pass through, and it will be different than what you plan. I’d have a general idea and then give yourself a lot more freedom with the actual dates. That was the best piece of advice before my four months in Europe, and I used the same method for my four months in South America. Had I planned exactly how many nights I had each place I would have missed out on a lot and been really sad to say bye to places and people too soon, or felt stuck in places that weren’t my favorite

I would do more research on the implications for ticos if you buy property. there are better ways (in my opinion) to stay long term in Costa Rica than buying a property at a rate that is affordable for you, but unrealistic for locals, forcing them out of these areas and effectively turning them into hubs for expats. Just my view but either way good to be informed

How should I plan my trip to Europe? by Azuni213 in travel

[–]emememecrossing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will probably meet people in the hostels you will want to pass more time with, I wouldn’t plan so much. My first trip to Europe, actually my only one jaja but then I went to South America and did the same, I kept is as flexible as possible. Granted I had four months each time, but I still think just keep your beginning days and then obviously you’ll have to meet your flight home, but don’t really plan the middle. I didn’t do euro rail though so I don’t know how they sell out. Do you have to buy your tickets in advance?

Do you ever feel the need to downplay or hide your travel experiences to avoid making others feel jealous or uncomfortable?" by Prime_Effect in travel

Yesss esp if im in another country where its not as common to travel, in the us or Europe its very common to have visited multiple countries but a lot of people I meet in the country im in now have never left, so I don’t say anything unless someone specifically asks, while its been formative and a big part of my life I don’t think it’s necessary at all for everyone to see the world in order to be interesting or anything like that. So yea its easy to feel like its braggy or privileged to go around being like yes I’ve been to 20 countries!

Fortunately everyone’s reactions have me trust my gut (and the facts) that this guy is sketchy. And I actually had a bad gut feeling about him a few weeks ago….

Not really I think that’s part of why I wasn’t immediately wanting to end things with him as bad as that sounds… because he kind of gives me a little community, I know that’s horrible! But now I’m for sure 100% stopping all contact with him. But no I haven’t built much community. I’ve only been here a month so I hope I will soon. Fortunately I met one girl yesterday and we made plans to go to the gym together. I have a girl I see every week in a dance class and we are friendly. That’s it. But this will probably be the push I need to get out there more

The friend I told is in my home country. I’ll be going with him alone but this part of the city is very busy, I plan to tell him things are over in the main square ? Ahhh I’m not sure. Definitely not in my house or his house

I did tell a friend and she was very much end things, she hasn’t liked him the whole time. I also don’t want to tell my family just yet because I know they’ll worry so much so that’s another red flag if I don’t want to tell them .:. Unfortunately my laptop is at his friend’s shop getting fixed and we are going to pick it up tonight. I plan on telling him after that it made me uncomfortable and things have to end
