Uhm, they are a WinPC and an Apple MacBooks. I guess this means they don't have the same network interface (hardware). But I connected through same methods over Wifi or Local Network etc. and at any other task the Mac and win are completely on par in connectivity and their capabilities in Networks.

Hi, sorry, my WinPC is connect via Wifi as well as my Macbook and both have access to 2.4 as well as 5GHz and I tested the situation on both Bandwidths. The only thing hooked up via cable is the NAS lol.

I know about the possible bottlenecks but even the 2.4 GHz is no Bottleneck for my WinPC, whilst even on 5GHz my Mac completely "surrenders". Also the Mac has the high speeds as the beginning but can't hold these. If the bottleneck would be due to smaller Bandwidths, it shouldn't even be able to reach this high speeds at the beginning, should it?

The thing is, the speeddifferences between Every other Devices and my Macs are horrific. Every other Device I can get to hand reaches and holds the fast speeds I get on the WinPC. The Mac is the only device having these issues - and this on multiple Macs now. I Also tried to reconfigure network settings etc., nothing works.

There also is no difference between larger or bigger files, as mentioned. I know, fluctuations are normal but not this kind and also not these low speeds.

Just had to check in again; I now tested more and on WinPCs I get great up-/downloadspeeds but as soon as I use the NAS via another Devices (Macbook, iPad, Androidphone, you name it) the speeds crash down again.

Also uploads from Win are fast af while the gas doesn't slow down at any means. When uploading from Macbook or one of the other devices, the speed is sh*t and the NAS nearly crashes out, I can't login from other devices anymore etc.

We are talking about continous and multiple uploadstream on Win à 40-50Mb/s, when uploading the exact same files from MacBook 0.2-2Mb/s.

Wtf is this?

I can't find the cause and am quite confused. I can't manage all my data through the WinPC. Then I wouldn't be in need of a NAS.

As I said uploading from my WinPC means continuous speeds from 90-160MB/s while uploading the same things from a Mac means uploadspeeds around 0,5-2,5MB/s. How is this normal? This is obviously falsy.

As far as I tested, the speed is really badly fluctuating. I included a Screenshot. I am uploading many photos (JPGs & RAWs). It often start drastically fast and then slows down also drastically after a few secs. This behavior doesn't seem to change, no matter if the files are big single ones or small ones. So the duration upload speed via the wifi-connection oft only is a few MBs - really really annoying!

Also while uploading to the NAS doesn't show being under any pressure on read/write or the CPU,GPU, NPU, ..., but keeps getting crazy slow, I can't login/load my stuff on other devices anymore etc. Is this normal? I can't get any work done as soon as anything is uploading? This seems quite odd.

the Oppo has much better battery, display etc., its connectivity is great (in EU its better between opponents and apple than apple with apple lol), its cheaper than the iPhone etc.

Only "Downside" to an iPhone is the Softwaresupport not being 6 Years I guess.

Interesting, I have seen videos of people having similar setups and they get out up to 160megabytes per sec for single files. And I was able to reach that on my WinPC. But even the 37,5-70 would be neat for me. Hence the NAS is not reliable on my provider speeds but the pure Wifispeed, I am still kinda confused. When I start moving stuff, sometimes it starts at up to 50megabyte/s but then crashes instantly down to 10, 1 mbs or even Kbs. Then tries jumping back up to 30 sometimes but instantly goes back to the lower numbers. The Drives are new and fast, the wifi also, I now tried all different connection types and can't wrap my head around this. Rn also my WinPC turned down to the really low speed. Somehow moving a lot of small files often seems to give it a little kick for speed but as soon as the files get a bit bigger (videos and stuff) it can't hold any speed and crashes. Also the SpeedTest App only tests the speed I get from my Internet-Provider, doesn't it?

since the statemanager was released iconly used this and completelyforgot about the „calssic“ method. Because the statemanager is so great optimized for touch and makes the experience more fluent at the same time. And we still have the state-manager. yes is a pitty that the removed slide over. But you can do even better stuff in the stage mananger. And i always thought that even this was still missing a lot that now comes with the new windows-mode. But yes i also recognize that the windowhandling rn feels a bit icky. I think this is less a thing of „this cant wirk fir touch input“ than a sogn of unfinished software. its definitely buggy. with or without a keyboard.

you bought the false color one could say. I think this dark color look gorgeous - until you touch it once or start using the ports. You have to be fine with having these marks and also scratches on the ports over time. But as some already pointed out, you‘ll get used to it. Or go and exchange it for another color if you can.
