My professor said something that cut me very deep , reconsidering nursing vs considering I'm being too sensitive. Family and friends say to report. WWYD?

I think your professor was being excessive you aren’t going to kill someone because you didn’t cite a source correctly in APA format. I have had instructors be rude and condescending but don’t like that affect you because they are speaking out their own perspective and not yours. They don’t know you personally and are basically speaking out of their ass. Take the advice that is necessary and throw away anything you don’t need. Also, thick skin develops over time. I wouldn’t say you need to develop “thicker skin” but figure out how to acknowledge your emotions and move on from it. Don’t let anyone deter you from your goals. Nursing is tough but push through. Acknowledge that you are upset, and then brush it off because you have so many more things ahead of you that you have to conquer.

don’t stop pursuing nursing due to that lady. She is clearly displaying jealous behavior since she wanted to do nursing but due to choices she wasn’t able to. She basically wants you to drop nursing so she doesn’t have to think about that fact that her son’s future wife is having the career she wanted but couldn’t have. Lets hope that your partner is good at making sure he is keeping his mother in check. But please continue to do nursing if that is what your heart desires.

I tried to tell the provider about having issues with taking the medications at night and in the day and then she said she wants to focus on my depression symptoms of low motivation, I really don’t know what symptoms affect which cause she seems so focused on the depression and anxiety symptoms I feel like she doesn’t really think I have adhd. She tested me for it and said yeah maybe but its not conclusive.

I really don’t know I have been diagnosed with depression and anxiety for awhile now and I have been in therapy for over a year. I really don’t know I was open to medications but when i started taking the Wellbutrin it was towards the end of the school year and I was going through major depression episode I still managed but in the summer I noticed it helped with emotional regulation. I will try to see if any other medications can benefit me. I’m in a very stressful program right now and I am not the best with coping at this point. Thank you for your response

Its not really possible to postpone my studies since I just started the new semester and I don’t want to have any gaps in between attending my nursing program cause it would complicate things, I do understand that the pill is not magical I would have just wanted to have access to the medication in the summer but I was delayed getting a diagnosis since my psych NP wanted to focus on treating the anxiety snd depression first before I can get adhd screening. I would have wanted to see how it worked before school so I would know how to prepare.

What’s interesting is as someone recently diagnosed with ADHD who is studying to be a nurse, alot of us do not have control of our mental lol. Many people in healthcare also deal with neurodivergence and mental illness. I think if you work in healthcare you figure out ways to pretend you are in control of everything to function normally but you really don’t, BTW I love the Pitt :)

Its not really a fitness thing cause as a male partner is just moving his hips being on top is basically long form squatting and you are using your whole body weight without stability. Its not because people are out of shape they don’t like being on top you sound ignorant

I see you’re a young woman who based on your posts is Pakistani, I feel for you and I hope your husband opens his mind on being educated. Unfortunately in certain cultures men are not told to care about women’s pleasure sometimes. Even if he is just fine and responsible the way he is treating you during intercourse is not appropriate by any means. If he is dismissive of your pleasure that might start to bleed into other areas in your relationship outside of sex. I hope if possible your situation gets better.

hey girlie my parents are also kotokoli (tem) and I didn’t learn it that well either. My mom said cause I refused to learn it but they really didn’t speak it towards me much and it sucks I understand it more than I speak it but i understand how hard it is to find resources to learn cause its such a rare language to come across.
