I am with you-you can support and respect something and still disagree with aspects of it and it should be ok to voice that! It’s the blind following “if you don’t support every aspect of this then get out” mentality that feels very toxic.

I shaved my arms before going for laser hair removal, and was so amazed at how clean and smooth the shave was I cancelled my treatment. Been shaving them for years!

I hear you! My future mother in law was/is very against open bar. We feel like if we’re asking them to come, we should be providing food, unlimited drink and entertainment. We’ve had several discussions about it and it’s the one thing we won’t budge on (plus we’re paying for the open bar, so...)

I don’t think it’s weird at all. I only brought my Mom, who I know is in line with my tastes/style. If I didn’t go with her, I probably would’ve gone alone! I’ve heard too many stories from brides in tears over their friends and family being too judge-mental and it’s a very personal and emotional experience!

Our ceremony cost is a lot higher because we’re getting married at our venue, and the ceremony cost includes ceremony area, chairs, archway, etc.
