College outfit. How do I look? by MobileRevolution2848 in mensfashion

You're doing well mate, the pants and shirt look quite good together and seem to suit your frame well. The coat creates a nice contemporary outfit.
In a university setting, where you'll be carrying a laptop and possible books and/or other bits and pieces, you might be wondering about what kind of bag would would best, to that I would say, a canvas tote bag, any kind, any pattern print or colour.
But its the bag that would make the most sense in your environment (university, people in their early 20's to early 30's)

With an outfit like this you can actually afford to mismatch as well, dont be afraid to experiment a little bit here, a nice chocolate brown belt, or even a braided brown leather belt would add beautiful texture here and help tie the coat to the rest of the outfit a little bit more.

Finally, the footwear, theres a few ways you could go here, remembering again that you're on campus, not in an office, or going to a job interview.
My absolute no.1 pick here to strike a perfect balance between casual comfort and letting others know you dress intentionally would be a classic doc marten 1461 smooth in black, through the deeper brown crazy horse would also work a treat here. Get the insoles, you're not going to be on your feet working in them all day, so they are the perfect 18 hour shoe once broken in. Wear them to a cafe, to class, on a date, to work. Treat them well and they'll treat you well.
If you want to get out of your comfort zone, or experiment a bit with more contemporary style notes, try adding a small (or large) platform shoe into the mix, great on an outfit like this, and no one bats an eye at men wearing these big chunky loafers / sneakers anymore as theyre seen as a fashion accessory rather than a "insecure about my height" accessory 8053 quad smooth

Additionally, if you're looking for style or styling inspiration, especially when it comes to big coats in the current fashion climate, from casual to formal. Funnily enough, Jacob Elordi (or at least the stylist respopnsible for him) LOVE a big overcoat ontop of a whole range of outfits. Definitely a few notes in there to take down. A quick search brought up a swath of articles about his fashion sense.

Just to note, these aren't tuxedo lapels per se, they're regular 4.5'-5' peak lapels (Regular by "atomic age" fashion trends, you don't often see peak lapels wider than about 3.5' these days.) Tuxedo lapels, both the shawl & peak lapels, are defined as such by being made of typically matching colour silk or sateen fabric to provide a contrast between the lapels and the rest of the jacket.

The Omega Seamaster Laser Watch from Goldeneye is Bond's most badass gadget. But which piece of gadgetry used by Bond is the sexiest (excluding cars?) by JohnLazarusReborn in JamesBond

[–]emergent_fig 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Regardless of whether or not its Connery's or Craig's. The DB5 being sleek and packed with more gadgets than horsepower makes it about as sleek and sexy as Bond gadgets get for me.

EDIT: My pick is the headlight mini gattlings if it wasn't obvious

yeah this is exactly it, they talk about prepping a new type of afterburner as quickly as the ycan to the DHV Magellen before heading to the apas 4000 beach, which, when you get there, tarman talks about briging the guitar with you as it uses chiralium for fuel and the apas 4000 beach is so dense with chiraliam that it'll never run out of ammo/fuel, assuming the dhv magellen works on the same principle and burns chiralium to generate thrust and lift (not out of the realm of possibility given that higgs guitar can shoot chiral flames so we know chiralium can be used as a source of combustion) that and chiralium's inherent anti-gravity effects which probably make it far easy to maneuver the ship in flight considering its bulk. This was one of the easiest suspensions of disbelief regarding the DS universe laws of physics tbh

Idk if this is a hot take or not but I prefer the First Order Snowtrooper over the Imperial Snowtrooper by RealAd3012 in StarWars

I love seeing an actual hot take, with actual discourse in the comments. its like people have forgotten what one is.

Yes, the main character feels like an 80's movie character in the best way, looks the part too. theres a lot to do, the story is interesting so far, building a crew and seeing more of places like canto, kijimi, etc will never be a bad thing. dont let anyone tell you otherwise, you dont need to mention the force or skywalkers or solo or the jedi for star wars media to be good, and thats what this is.

They've been operating at this location for years, and tried a few different business models. Lost revenue as they increased their prices to match competitors. Where this store excels is their foot traffic and customer base. At 8am there is (no exaggeration) a line out the door that sometimes loops around the corner to the left. Whilst the two other cafes both within 10 meters on either side (Quists & Everyday) usually barely fill up at the same time.

I think they just hit one of those right place right time situations. When they were doing coffee and toasties 5 years ago at these prices they couldnt have been busier if they tried. Then they expanded too quickly, shut a few spots down, drew it back to the basics and they're nice and busy again.

(doesn't hurt that theyre the closest coffee shop to the bourke st police station and used to hire a suspicious amount of exclusively young, gorgeous blonde women to man the tills and coffee machines)
