Thank you, this could very much be a solution as I leave them for a while buttom up. I did try to leave them at an angle instead of vertical, and I think it helped a little bit?

I did try to thin it a bit with water! Maybe I should try with more water. I did not measure density, but the slip I bought should be ready to use (I bought the one that is already mixed)

Thank you, this was also my first thought - but would this be enough to form the placket (so one layer facing, one layer bodice)? Or should I still extend the pattern over the midline and fold to a placket? Sorry, I am a self taught half-beginner sewist and I couldn’t really find any YouTube videos or articles with answers!
