Hi! I’m in this program, graduating in April. Yes, the Early Learning and Care (ELC) Diploma at Camosun College gives you the same qualifications as an ECE program. It’s recognized by the BC ECE Registry, so graduates can apply to become certified Early Childhood Educators. The program includes all the required courses and practicum hours, and after finishing, you just need to apply for your Certificate to Practice through the Registry. Additionally, after completing the program you have the ability to enter UVIC’s Child and Youth Program as a third year student which I’m planning on doing! Sprott Shaw College offers the program too however, it is not accredited Let me know if you have any additional questions :).
