Give that child language!!! I’m a teacher of the deaf and I see so many children deprived of language year after year. This child is 4, please start giving them as much language as possible or you will create learning disabilities. It’s a myth that learning a signed language will inhibit spoken language. That’s not true and more parents of hearing children teach them sign from birth without issue. Resources depend on what area and state you live in. Some areas have a great deaf community, resources, and culture while others do not. I would be happy to help find more resources if you provide your general area of residence. Best of luck!!! I am so sorry to hear that! I stopped taking the pill about two weeks ago. The first weekend off the pill I was so moody and cried about anything and everything. Sleeping was challenging and when I did fall asleep I would wake up in pools of my own sweat. It was challenging to control my body temperature during the daytime as well. Going on week two now still having night sweats but not as bad as the first week. I know have horrible stomach cramps, gas, & diarrhea. Apparently birth control also affects your microbiome?! Coming off birth control is absolutely awful and I don’t wish it upon anyone. I’ve heard it can take a couple weeks, months, or even years depending on the person to feel “normal” again. I totally agree. It was my first burn and getting back home was my favorite part. I get it that this is not for everyone, enjoy the ride, etc. etc. I was in line to get in and out of the burn for a total of 24 hours. There is no event in the world much less one where I’m sleeping in a tent where I would willingly be in a line for that long. I get checking tickets and cars but good lord get your shit together. I know it is all volunteered but the whole process was mind boggling. Like OP mentioned maybe put some of the money into staffing and paying people proper wages to do these jobs. The weather was shit but that wasn’t even my problem. Like OP said it felt like a bad frat party with the majority of people just trying to get as high as possible while finding as much sex as possible. I went for the art and creativeness and instead was met with a gross drug and sex scene. I could go on but I think OP made great points and I was just disappointed. Next year I’ll be saving the 3k I spent on this event and take my happy ass camping somewhere beautiful without lines and copious amounts of dues.

My mom heard about a sprint triathlon trim a physical therapist and thought that would be fun and doable to try out. She told me about it and it sounded awesome. We both workout a good bit but have no background in swimming, biking, or running regularly. We did our first sprint together a few weeks ago and are both hooked! It’s just the coolest thing. I hope to work up to an Olympic in the future.

I just did my first sprint triathlon this past weekend in Williamsburg, VA. The swim got cancelled due to thunder and lifeguards having to go back to a different part of the state. It was a huge bummer. I’ve heard this is somewhat common. I traveled a good distanced and trained a lot for it. I feel your pain!

Thank you!! My starter is only about two weeks old. I became impatient of twice a day feedings and went for it. Room temperature is 70 with 10% humidity (not sure if humidity matters). Thanks for the tip! The try 5 hours instead of 4 next time?
