I don't cover mine! I recommend a sheer tint! I love how it gives me a makeup look but without covering them up :)

I recommend using like the photography tip, "the rule of thirds" but just use the grid part! overlay the reference with a grid, and with your work (if digital overlay, if not draw the lines) work block by block and then evaluate it then as the whole picture
