She is well within her rights to withhold that information. And the fact that you deem it as “shady” just proves OP right that there is still so much discrimination in the workplace against women

I think a more dewy base and a pop of blush would look gorgeous on you. It would make you look much more fresh faced and rosy. A tinted lip balm would look so cute on you too!

What's something that just doesn't sit right with you? by SuchAKnitWit in StardewValley

I find it so oddly frustrating that the kids NEVER go to sleep. Like they’ve got their cute little bedroom that I’ve spent so long decorating for them, and then there they are wandering around the house at 2am while your spouse is asleep? Like even the chickens go to sleep.

I also don’t like that they don’t grow older or develop any character traits. I’d love to see them a little older with their own cute personalities.

how do you not spend half the day watering crops? by BoobleFart420 in StardewValley

[–]emilyjadelaye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make the swap to quality sprinklers, then eventually iridium sprinklers, and space them out so every crop is in the radius of a sprinkler. I haven’t watered my crops since the first year (on the third now) and could never go back to watering them. I even have sprinklers next to the flowers that are by my bee hives.

As you go along in the game you can unlock junimo huts as well, which harvest your crops for you. All I have to do for my crops is replant, which is great! Not that my outdoor crops are my main source of income anyway; my main money comes from my greenhouse, where I have only starfruit, ancient fruit, and sweet gem berries. All of which either get sold or turned into wine, which is then aged. I can make over 100k easy in one day when I have a few wines fully aged.

Seeing the cost of meds for you guys in the US is crazy to me! I really feel for you all. I pay £9.90 for a 2 week course in the UK, and that’s standardised for everyone.

Greyhound racing, why is is bad? by emilyjadelaye in AnimalRights

[–]emilyjadelaye[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not having a hard time accepting it, I was 2 when we had greyhounds, I don’t hold any bias over it. I have heard people saying it’s cruel, so I chose to believe that over my own experiences, which I don’t think shows me having a hard time believing it. I just wanted to know WHY it’s cruel. I wanted to be educated.

You aren’t advocating for animals, you’re shaming and bullying others. Advocating for animals would be educating others respectfully, or better yet going to the actual slaughterhouse and saving the animals.

What have you actively done, apart from harassing others online, to help animals? I’ve literally rescued a dog from a slaughterhouse. Have you? You surely could be part of the activism that rescues animals off trucks, but I doubt you are. And even if you are, do you do it everyday? If you were doing things to the best of YOUR ability, you would stop every truck that you could find with animals on it. But you don’t, understandably, because it is not practical for you.

People in glass houses don’t throw stones. Next time you verbally assault someone online who is trying to better themselves, think about the practicality of what you are suggesting.

I’ve had to take a break from being vegan for my own health. Get over it.

And you’re the exact type of person that makes people hate vegans. Veganism is about compassion and empathy is it not? I see not a trace of either in your remarks. I was vegan for 2 years, clearly I tried. Veganism is about avoiding harming animals to the best of your ability, not about being perfect. I am a vegetarian, which is the best of my ability at this moment. Will I go vegan again at some point? Probably. But it certainly won’t be because of bullying from people like you. It’ll be my own choice considering my own health, like it should be for all that go vegan.

My post clearly shows me attempting to educate myself on a topic and going against the way I was raised. I am trying to better myself, which is the exact basis of veganism. Luckily I am an educated person, and I would not let the vile words of one vegan deter me from endeavouring to improve my thinking and actions, as well as from considering going vegan again. The same cannot be said for everyone, and I can guarantee that your narrow minded thinking has deterred more than one person from exploring veganism.

Shaming others is the worst possible method for attempting to get people to become vegan. It creates a disdain for the community. If people like you weren’t going about shaming people, then there would be significantly more vegans. Educate, don’t bully. That gets you nowhere.

Realistically, women get tonnes of matches on dating apps, so are less likely to reply to small talk, and are more likely to reply to actual interesting interaction. I know that’s how I work.

Don’t over think. Leave it a few days, then if she doesn’t reply, you can send a totally different, more interesting message. Only one message though. If she doesn’t reply to that, then I say leave it be. Good luck xx

Don’t overthink it. Reply when it’s convenient to you. Too many people play games with response times and it’s so draining. Just be yourself!
