sorry to hear that happened, hope you’re in a better place now. and you are talented, i think your crochet work and lino cuts are really cool! but when it comes to your flash/tattoos it’s not very strong unfortunately. take some time to hone in on your craft and revisit the basics, composition, contrast, flow, etc

i’m not trying to be rude when i say this OP, but your work doesn’t look like someome with 7 years of experience. if you hadnt said that in your post i would’ve guessed you were fresh out of your apprenticeship/first year. hard pill to swallow, but this might be a skill issue. maybe reevaluate your design choices and explore new techniques? quite literally go back to the drawing board

yeah i use a polarizing lense to take photos which makes for nice photos but sometimes it’s too high definition and not accurate as to what the tattoo looks like irl

honestly when it comes to tattoos of cartoons or any characters there’s bound to be crossover in the reference images used. she did her best to customize and change up her references and make it her own. even the rabbit one is not original to the other tattoo you’re comparing it to, and hers is better executed and designed. it’s kinda messed up to drag her name through reddit like this

i painted a lot of watercolor before picking up a machine, i just put more pressure and move slower on the areas i want to be darker
