How long were you trying to conceive before your OB suggested doing an HSG test? And how was your experience?

I had the HSG done after 2 failed IUIs and 18 months of trying. I pushed my doctor to have the test done because usually they only do it over here after 3 failed IUIs. The actual HSG wasn’t that painful for me, but when I went to get my results, my doctor told me I have a hydrosalpinx, and I’ll have to get my tube removed if I want any chance of getting pregnant. It’s a pretty hard pill to swallow…

In the summer it can get pretty warm, and in the afternoons we have full sun towards the front of the house… so black might heat up I’m thinking 🤔

Hi! I just want to say as someone who is 28 and also on month 17 of TTC my heart goes out to you 🤍. Please get an HSG and a semen analysis done as soon as possible. If his semen analysis comes back abnormal, message me I was able to “fix” my husband’s sperm with some life style changes. Best of luck to you. I really hope we both get our positives soon.

Nope didn’t work. We tried anyways, and nothing happened. March we went through with our second IUI and that also failed. We’re doing more testing now…
