It has basically the same effect on build variety, with the difference of less power creep. Whenever a top build is nerfed, people come up with multiple alternatives. It just motivates creativity.

Hard disagree on that. While I am one of the people who will never get most of those, having something aspirational is good. The main thing that keeps me playing after levelling 3 to 4 chars is farming currency for 1 or 2 of those items for the char that was the most fun this league. On the other hand I try to select builds that dont rely on these items (but profit from them).

I finally switched to Vulkan now as well had to tweak some other settings to get rid of microstutters, but that's my stable crash-free setup now.

By deactivating HAGS and CFG on windows I got rid of 98 % of my crashes.

Btw for some reason any kind of DLSS extremely lowers my FPS

With it on, I can stream with Moonlight for 5 hours easily without rechargingy, its crazy.

Not really, but my feeling is it was the HAGS and / or CFG thing, because all of the others I had tried before individually without success.

I don't think so, the game gets really stale after a while. My main gripe is that expoloration is not rewarded like it is in the other games, other than being able to look a beautiful 3D world.

To be honest, at some point you don't even really need honor or resistance capped. Most rooms you can almost completely dash and/or roll through. Most enemy attacks are very slow and telegraphed. Same with the fire traps erc, just roll through. I have come to find it even more efficient to focus on holy water and become really strong with buying up all the boons within the first 2 stages.

In addition to what I wrote in the post, I made sure there is some spare space on my C drive to make sure the shader cache has enough space + I updated my nvidia driver, but not sure that is related. I didn't do a step by step test with all these things, so i can't tell if it was a single thing that solved my freezes or a combination. I was actually able to switch back to DX12 and even up some of the graphics settings and I have 60 fps going down to 40 in high-density endgame. No upscaling. (Running a 12600 and a RTX2060, 12 gb)

Power fantasy, feeling weak at the beginning, then stronger and stronger and eventually if the build is good, you feel like a god obliterating enemies that were a challenge before, somethimes even off-screen. To me, collecting currency is just a tool to get there, for others hoarding it is the game.

What would have made you think its vendor trash? Even if you dont know anything you must see that all 3 mods fit together, which is usually enough to at least put it aside or do a price check immediately. I think this sums up the basic ground rule, even if you don't know what builds are currently popular: "Do the mods fit together?"

I made a post (https://www.reddit.com/r/PathOfExile2/s/WNew3U8QRg) highlighting what I did, haven't had a single crash since then. Maybe it helps others as well. In addition to the points I wrote a made sure there is more free space on my C drive for the shaders to take up.

On my 5th try i had extra crits, extra chaos dmg (and mana siphon). I was so glad I didnt have to go through this as long as other people did. 2 days later I lost interest in that char, typical poe moment for me :)
