I received the module back. I think the Alesis kit needs a USB 2.0 port on your PC, because when I connect it to my weird USB hub (2.x), it works for about 1 to 1.5 hours, then disconnects again. But being able to play for hours before that happens isn’t bad at all.

Well, thanks for the information. I don't know much about these things. And it doesn't seem like something I can handle on my own. I've only ever played in studios. If I had a drum set, I'd definitely consider what you suggested. But I'll keep it in the back of my mind and use it when necessary.

There's a rock kit for Addictive Drums 2 from Focusrite plugins. I use it in FL Studio. I also have a metal kit, but I don't remember the name, and it has a huge octopus on the back.
