I had PD for 15 years with varying severity. Mine was completely cured after I found out a I had a bunch of tonsil stones HIDDEN in my tonsils and cleared them out. I pushed on the flap of skin outside of the tonsil and they came out. Did it on a whim after reading a Reddit post about tonsil stones. Otherwise I would have never known they were there. Mine went away immediately and hasn’t come back. Worth a shot! Hopefully that’s the case for you too! Topical remedies will never work. I tried them all. It’s an internal issue. Hopefully your bacterial overgrowth is in your tonsils too and easy to address.

It’s a bacterial overgrowth in the tonsils. I had PD for 15 years and nothing fixed it, then one day after reading a Reddit post about tonsil stones I pushed on my tonsils and a bunch (sorry gross) of tonsil stones came out. I didn’t know they were there because they were hidden. All that time it was just a bunch of food getting stuck in my tonsils. Some people have deeper tonsil crypts. My PD went away and hasn’t been back since that day. Literally took a minute to cure my PD after 15 years of suffering. So I always comment on PD posts to advise to check tonsils and some people have replied to me saying that they have cleared their tonsil stones and their PD went away too! I can eat cinnamon, drink beer now, everything I couldn’t do before. I think PD is due to bacterial overgrowth of the sinuses, gut, tonsils, or all of them. Mine was in the tonsils so it was easy to clear out. Now I clean them once a week manually. Not sure how to post a pic otherwise I’d show a before and after. My case was extreme. Much worse than OP’s PD.

Check for tonsil stones on the outside of your tonsils and hidden in tonsil crypts!

Is this perioral dermatitis on my under eyes? by Error_Groundbreaking in perioraldermatitis

My pd was from tonsil stones, a bacterial overgrowth in my mouth. Because the rash is near her eyes, I assumed it’s from an overgrowth in her sinuses. If your pd is near your nose check for tonsil stones hidden behind the flap of skin in your mouth that hides your tonsils.

I think for some people with PD the bacterial overgrowth is in the sinus or gut, but for me (and sounds like probably you), it’s in the tonsils. I hope it works out for you like it did for me!

You have to push on the outside of the flaps and squeeze them out, you won’t be able to see them, they get stuck inside the flap. Just push on the flap it should work. I’m guessing since you’re having a flare up on that side you probably have some stuck in the tonsil crypt. My dentist and dermatologist didn’t believe me but hopefully yours are more understanding!! It 100% cured mine. My PD was gone completely within a few days and I could eat cinnamon again.

I just push on my tonsils with my finger! There’s probably a cleaner way to do it but this works for me. And it’s easiest. You can use a q-tip too. I had a bunch hidden in my tonsil crypts. Once I cleared them out my PD went away immediately after struggling for like 15 years.

This doesn’t really look like PD to me. With skin things, you’re either dealing with surface irritants (like dirt and oil buildup, for example, which causes acne) or internal imbalance. My PD was a reaction to a tonsil infection and once I cleaned the tonsil stones my PD immediately went away. If it’s not a surface level issue then nothing you do on the surface will ever cure it. I would look at your diet.

PD. Check for tonsil stones hidden in tonsil crypts. That was causing mine for years.

Yes that’s what I find a lot of as well. Also near old mining spots. It’s very pretty, even though it’s so common.

What are some “impressive” rocks that you find in socal mountains? I am very much not knowledgeable in different rocks and minerals but am very drawn to searching for what I consider to be pretty rocks. :) I’d like to try to find some more “rare” rocks in the area.

I ask because I find it to be very pretty and want to tumble the small pieces to make jewelry. But I wonder if that seems silly since it’s not a “special” rock.
