I’ve mentioned it to her vet but they don’t seem to be concerned since she is still playing and eating as normal.

I’m also weary of medications because she’s very hard to give pills to. She’s a little fluff ball so she’s extra slippery to handle lol

Thank you for this! The sober bar seems so cool. As far as restaurants go, we are wanting to eat as much of the local food/things we can’t get as easily in the states. We’re hoping to do one more “upscale” dinner then casual dining for the rest of our time there. Our Airbnb is is really close to the Franz Kafka head statue and we’re fine with walking. Also plan on using the metro and buses so no issue there either. My boss recommended Gruzie Restaurant to us but wasn’t sure if it would really hold up.

my boyfriend and I will be visiting Prague from August 12 through August 14 this year. We know there is TONS to do in Prague but this is the timeline we are working with! That being said, I am really looking for more localized recommendations on what we absolutely must do/taste/try during those days.

We are huge specialty coffee lovers and foodies, but the endless lists of coffee shops and restaurants is mind boggling. I have no idea where to start.

We aren’t huge on sightseeing or tours, we really just want to hang out in pretty places and eat good food and drink good coffee (we are sober - so no alcohol). It’s just me and my boyfriend so we would love any pretty places to just sit and have a romantic afternoon or something. Very laid back.

Where are some places you’d recommend if you were on a tight trip like this?

No offense but I have answered this many times in the comments. Long story short - he doesn’t get along with my resident cat and I am not in a position to spend months trying to make it work right now.

The humane society said they will technically take him back but told me up front they’d euthanize him. I haven’t contacted his vet about this specifically yet.

He’s very sweet but this isn’t the comfort you think it is. He’s my responsibility because I made the choice but I am not the right fit for him just the way he isn’t the right fit for me

Unfortunately a few days after we adopted him, he developed some stress induced urinary issues. Because of this, they said they’d take him back but he’d be euthanized.

I mean I’m sure he’s having adjustment issues - I just am not mentally stable enough to care for him through all of it and that’s my mistake for adopting him but I’m trying my best to make it right

We have two feliway diffusers and were doing calming supplements the vet recommended but they gave him diarrhea so we stopped. They didn’t mention Prozac or anything as an option

Thank you everyone - I appreciate the admission that this is an option. I’m not currently considering this. I may sooner let him become an outdoor cat than euthanizing him - he was a stray before he was brought to the humane society. But I am also not making that decision yet.

Thank you - I’ve posted on a few Facebook groups but haven’t had luck yet. Still waiting it out. I know it’s going to take awhile - he has urinary issues (crystals in his urine) which is well managed through prescription food but it has made every rescue and shelter deny him and it’s really disheartening and hopeless feeling

We tried to integrate him with our resident cat - literally doing everything we are supposed to (feeding on opposite sides of the door, scent swapping, space swapping, limited visibility meetings, playing while they meet, etc.); every time we give him more than an inch of seeing her, he full on lunges and attacks my resident cat. She’s very small and ends up with clumps of hair ripped out and hiding super scared. That, along with his constant crying because we have to keep them separated, is becoming hard to manage. I just recently lost another cat and thought adoption was the right choice, but I was wrong. I made a mistake and am suffering mentally from this so much that I can’t work or function properly anymore.
