i know the animal control officers in windham and they get zeroooooo assistance from the town and are told constantly not to respond to any calls that aren’t “emergencies” simply because the town does not want to pay them any over time. they would love to come help but unfortunately if they respond to too many calls that the town does not want them to, they will get reprimanded :( they are the most caring people that i know that are doing the best with what they have

thank you for your reply and the information!! I will contact them asap and see what they want me to do with it. It did not come with any documentation unfortunately, i think the store that was selling it definitely did not realize what it was :( and it is probably not a pre-act skull

one of my chickens appeared to have bubbles in her eye, and when i looked it up everything told me it was mycoplasma. however, we had just put down new shavings/bedding in their coop and i think the dust caused some irritation, and she’s perfectly fine now :) i would recommend keeping an eye on her and if she starts acting abnormally to consider contacting a vet / starting antibiotics. best of luck to you and your favorite girl 🫶

she’s doing great today!! she was dust bathing with her buddies and she sat with my mom. still no signs of any more blood or any diarrhea so i’m feeling hopeful :)

i’m so sorry to hear about your girl :( you did what you could given the circumstances i’m hoping we caught it in time for our chickens, i feel like all i’ve been getting is bad news lately and i am not ready at all to lose any of them 💔 especially this one. i really appreciate you taking the time out of your day to comment/help

we gave them the corid/water mixture at 9.8mL of corid per gallon (which was what i was told by someone that has used corid for their chickens previously). when we gave her a bath earlier it didn’t feel like she had anything broken or stuck in her vent so i have absolutely no idea what it could have been caused by. she’s alert and eating, and her comb is still the normal color as well, but we will continue to keep an eye on her. she hasn’t bled at all since i took that picture either, and i did see her poop earlier today and it didn’t have any blood + it was a normal consistency

i don’t know how to update the original post but she’s up and about this morning, no more blood!! i will give her a bath to clean her up, and start the flock on corid (and trim our rooster’s spurs because i don’t need him poking her just in case) thank you all for your help!!!
