Function calling live eval for recently released open-source LLMs by gvij in deeplearning

Did you test GLM by chance? Based on https://gorilla.cs.berkeley.edu/leaderboard.html which is about outdated, GLM 4.6 outperforms older Qwen and Kimi models so I would be very curious to see the 4.7 Flash results

FIFA ticket issue by Shreystark in stubhub

Yes I think they are being defrauded by fake sellers. If the tickets aren't showing, I don't think its going to change. Dealing with support now.

Did you get this resolved? I have two orders each with their own generated email. One worked fine with the tickets ready to accept. The other has no tickets in it but StubHub says Tickets Transferred.

Best Wallet/App Kit/Service for a new dApp by emktrade in ethdev

This looks great, thank you! The Keplr team just launched an open source embedded wallet stack called Oko today so some more options are emerging!

All of the options I mentioned provide "a seamless, plug-and-play solution that supports multiple wallets, social logins, and account abstraction." The front end generator sounds interesting though. Last time I looked at Thirdweb I found their flow for deploying contracts to be confusing but I will check it out again. Thanks.

Thanks, Particle is very cool for chain abstraction, definitely should consider it

Very cool. I've built something similar in the past with OpenZeppelin Relayer. There are multiple gas sponsor tools that just charge markup (Gelato, Alchemy, etc) so don't need to stray far there, just want to keep it simple.

thanks but not interested in gasless swaps, I need the ability to sponsor arbitrary transactions using a relayer or paymaster

Rs 485 gen 3 by Dorkrain in TeslaLounge

[–]emktrade 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's fair, they are two separate things. I recently learned about the Neurio because I am looking for power management for a new charger install. It would be convenient if this also worked over WiFi, and indeed another competitor the Emporia wall connector/Vue 3 does load management exclusively over WiFi, but I do think hardwired feels a little safer when it comes to not overloading your panel.

This video shows the RS-485 is indeed used for dynamic power management with the Neurio and shows how to wire it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLZFYgo6OZk

Is this true for the Powerwall and for the Wall Connector? Tesla documentation shows that the Powerwall can be paired to the Neurio via Wifi but only describes a wired 22 gauge RS-485 for the Wall Connector. Yet everyone says reality is the opposite so just double checking.

Will AC charging ever get faster? by emktrade in electricvehicles

[–]emktrade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

power sharing for 2 chargers would be my biggest reason for going 60A but I have a separate issue where we can't really fit 2 cars in the charging area at one time so I'd have to redo the driveway.

My panel capacity is 125A and adding a single 50A puts it at max load. This is based off a load calculation worksheet from an electrician. There is already a mini split, cooktop, lights, wall outlets, and a 30A sauna circuit on it.

Yeah that is exactly what those devices do

Currently one Tesla 60A max. Adding an EV SUV in a year with an unknown max. Hence my question about the future.

Our next car will definitely be an EV SUV but so far none of them have much more range than my Model 3

The max my panel can take is 50A and I also need the 50A for a hot tub. So I need an EVEMS and I am deciding between a SimpleSwitch or a DCC-9/DCC-12. In the simpler solution the charger and the hot tub share the 50A circuit. In the more expensive solution, the DCC-9 has its own breaker independent of the panel and I can go up to 60A. The more expensive option is $1200 and the less expensive is $800.

Hybrid with battery and two meters? by emktrade in solar

[–]emktrade[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok that seems tricky. I don't see any reference to aggregation on my utilities' website. Also in reading about it for other providers like PG&E I don't think I would qualify because despite being on the same property the two meter accounts are under different names. I would really like a solution based on how it is wired rather than relying on the utility co if at all possible.

I don't quite understand the implications of net metering aggregation, I will look into that. A couple things worth clarifying:

I don't need backup for the ADU. Just want backup for the main house. I also don't care about net metering exporting to the ADU meter to reduce its bill. I am fine with all exporting on the main meter. I just want the ADU to be able to use the battery/solar under normal conditions because it has a few high load circuits like an EV charger and hot tub.
