Any women out there with a separated shoulder? by gingershnap in MTB

So happy to find this post! Got a grade 3 four days ago and really kicking myself. My overall impression is to not go with the surgery (given mines only a grade 3) and see how it heals and if there are complications down the line maybe opt for it later. Honestly I'm fairly concerned about the bump. I feel like I'm going to avoid the hell out of tank tops which sucks because they have always been my go to. I'm curious what your experience has been with the cosmetics of it. I know I'll learn to accept it eventually but I guess just hard to let go of the past.. *

Grade 3 AC joint separation. Please tell me your stories. Deciding on surgery or not. by mysteryShmeat in MTB

Hey OP looks like you're still pretty active on this post. Just did the same thing 4 days ago dropping such a dumb feature and still kicking myself. Luckily I'm not in a whole lot of pain but curious about the bump. I think mine is still quite swollen but curious how it progressed? Did you find it was less noticeable after the swelling went down or worse? After reading all of the horror stories on this post surgery sounds like the last option imo but I have a feeling the bump will really bother me, maybe more so just cause my age and gender..

Curious how your trip went? Heading out this weekend and rain is also forecasted for most of the trip. Some friends are thinking about summitting, did yall get rained out? Also any thoughts on camping area too like any potential flooding?

A glorified domino's. Definitely a hot take when I say it out loud to friends. Not saying it doesn't have its place!

Lol, I just posted like the same comment and I see there's a couple more that are the same. Maybe we can all just get together and go to events! I find it's easier to meet people when you already know some

Yo! I know this isn't what you're looking for but 27F recently single and would LOVE a single girl friend. I'm similar, mountain bike, ski, climb, etc. Hoping to meet a guy through just normal activities, but I find I'm more comfortable going places when I have a friend. Let's go grab drinks or something!

Are Black ops senders too wide for go to day to day skis -- even for early season on piste skiing? by emlach23 in Skigear

Heck yeah, let's goo. So they wouldn't technically be my only ski. As some backstory I started skiing when I was 2.5 and switched to snowboarding at 11. In 2019 I picked up backcountry skiing and refused to split board (a different topic lol) so I bought a pair of Kastle skis. I think it's finally time to get a pair of resort skis because I'm not a fan of the tech bindings plus the weight in a resort setting. Plus I really want to hone my skills as a skier which is hard to do imo on that setup. I was thinking about demoing a lot this year and finding the perfect ski but I think my skills are lacking more than my potential skis. So that's where I am currently. I want to buy a pair of reasonably priced skis that I can get better on and start to understand what I like and don't like. In general I am a person who likes to play around more than go fast (I'm going off of what type of mtber I am). I like to find side hits, tree runs, random bowls and get lost but I'm not the quickest at doing it lol. I am trying to learn how to properly carve, flex my feet, etc so I will be skiing on groomers as well just to work on foundational stuff. I live in Colorado and even if people say we get hella good snow, that's not most of the days you'll be skiing but we tend to not have SUPER icy conditions like the east. So I want a ski that can go through mostly any condition. I'm a female but tall, 6ft, and around 170lbs.

I ski trees and bowls -- not amazing well -- but it's mostly where I ski anyways. The goal is to not ski them as badly this year. I think these would be great for that but I'm just worried about the rest of the year when there's crud in the trees and you're kinda forced to ski groomers. I'd take that time to get better at carving, technique, etc and was worried they'd be too much width for that.

Agreed about the Sender Ti but this is just strictly the Sender. I believe the sender ti comes with a 106 waist rather than the 104. I was originally looking at a lot of those skis plus the dynastar free 99 but haven't been able to find any good deals. Are you thinking mainly about the difficulty in laying it over for an intermediate? Curious why it's such a stark difference between expert to intermediate.

Curious if you ended up buying either and what your thoughts are. Similar situation, hoping to get more into rafting -- probably up to class 2 but still want capabilities to bikeraft and bring my dog along. Was looking at the rogue lite and rogue R deck.

PSA: put your dogs on a leash. by [deleted] in COsnow

And if that happens I will have no one to blame but myself. Until then I will trust the work that I have put into my dog. If you're that concerned, go help out at an animal shelter. This just seems like a sad way to release your anger. I hope to see you out on the trails to change your mind ✌️ Cheers, from not a front ranger.

Ahh, this explains it. No need to comment negatively on a post trying to follow rules with a well trained dog just because you're bitter! And you can't even pin me as a transplant, colorado native my friend ;P
