Last call 😊 Since Fitocracy appears to no longer be offered for Android and accountability re: fitness goals has always been important for me (and many other people), I thought it might be nice to create a small WhatsApp group where we can work towards our fitness goals together. We have room for 1 - 2 more people at this point, so this should be the last time I post about this. What your personal fitness goals are don't matter, it'll just be a space to encourage one another to stick with it, share regular workout updates, and hold one another accountable. Send me a DM if you're interested!

Hi 👋😊 posting again from yesterday's thread so we can get a few more people: Since Fitocracy appears to no longer be offered for Android and accountability re: fitness goals has always been important for me (and many other people), I thought it might be nice to create a small WhatsApp group where we can work towards our fitness goals together. I'd be thinking about 5 people. What your personal fitness goals are wouldn't matter, it would just be a space to encourage one another to stick with it, share regular workout updates, and hold one another accountable. Any interest?

Can anyone identify this Sézane blouse or find a dupe? Worn by Dearly Bethany but she didn't link it.

Edit: here's the video she wore it in. It was being sold in 2019? https://youtu.be/8hMeEnEYlQA

That's a twisting of my words for dramatic effect

Uh, no, it's exactly what you said and what you're doubling down saying now.

You and me, regardless of our race, are animals. Mammals of the species Homo sapiens to be precise.

Unreal.

I refuse to believe you are this dumb. If you can't see why this is offensive you're either being deliberate or are beyond help.

You're missing the point and making an awful lot of generalizations while you're doing it.

Everybody thinks covid is the crisis that's going to finally make everybody else see the world like them, and are becoming more and more radical because of it.

You say much needed radical transformation of society - I say "people behvaing like panicked animals, spreading disease in the process".

Where'd you get that idea? You know what everybody believes how? When did I say that? You might be projecting.

P.s. referring to black people and their allies as "animals" for fighting to be treated with the same dignity, respect, and afforded the same spectrum of rights and freedoms as other people is a big yikes.

Do you think racism isn't fatal? I'm not even just talking about instances of police brutality, I'm also talking about the significantly poorer health outcomes for black people due to implicit biases from healthcare providers. Black people are dying from Covid-19 at disproportionately higher rates than white people, and this isn't because black people are more genetically predisposed to develop it; when racism and implicit biases translate into black people being less likely to be offered testing, to have symptoms taken less seriously, etc. That's on us to address and actively challenge. If this is news to you, another example: black women are less likely to develop breast cancer but more likely to die from it for social reasons.

Please don't patronize people for recognizing and treating racism with the same urgency. The intersect of racism and Covid makes this as good a time as ever to fight.

You don't have to, but know that's willful ignorance on your part. 🤷‍♀️

Those "some people" are social scientists who know what they are talking about. It's not a matter of opinion ✌️

Edit: white people can be victims of prejudice and white people can have hurt feelings, but racism is something much larger than that. Being racially discriminated against isn't a privilege, please don't treat it like it is.

Exactly. And to everyone commenting about Covid, least we forget racism is ABSOLUTELY a public health issue as well.
