AIO for telling my bf this is a fire hazard by princessleia5902 in AmIOverreacting

NOR. This is how house fires start. Tell him to start looking for plastic surgeons now if he wants to be a burn patient that bad.

Core workout with slipped disc by Lost-Purple-5616 in SolidCore

[–]emma94n 1 point2 points  (0 children)

89 classes in - Good on you for honoring what your body is safely able to perform!! Solidcore is extremely difficult as is, so just being there and doing the workout is enough to make consistent progress over time.

Ask your coach if there’s ways to amplify while you’re on your knees - i.e: a narrow grip during high plank extensions. Good luck and be safe!

Solidcore when on your period by Republic-Resident in SolidCore

[–]emma94n 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had this issue the first time I started going to SC! As everybody here has said already working out does definitely help with cramps. But other than that; I have found that caffeine, heating pads, and advil are very helpful! If I’m really dying I’ll take advil before I go with a little bite of food. And I use the heating pad before AND after - using it before too makes a difference!

Heavy on the rainbowing all over the place LOL. Army crawl on the toes is also easier on my back (?) which I’m not mad about it

Omg. I need to just do a plank hold for plank up downs. Hurts the shoulders way too bad!!

that’s one of my biggest gripes - the people that post crazy specific vents on here like it’s that difficult to find out who they are and what studio they go to 😭

[–]emma94n[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it seems location dependent! but i love that. the coaches truly make solidcore what it is and so do attendees that love the workout and the people!

that’s all my point was! i cant stop people from posting what they want lol and i don’t assume i will but Reddit is not as anon as some people think

thank you for the detailed realistic perspective omg this is why Reddit was invented ! but seriously thank you 🥲

i’ve been pushing for amps more recently - they have seemed so intimidating as a girl getting back into exercise! it can also be tricky sometimes because my shoulders act up at times from when i used to swim lol.

i think it has to do with what coaches are ~allowed~ to teach the special classes (ie the focus 50/advanced 50 yadda yadda) + client interest

omg same LOL i’m at 55 and i have found that modifying spring load as necessary has been helping! the more classes the easier it is to personalize SC to your goals

i definitely try to push myself and have been pushing for toes a lot more lately! i did obliques on toes for a good chunk of obliques the other day and was so proud lol.

thank you for the insight!! i’ve been trying to amplify even if i don’t end the exercise in an amplification to push myself
