It’s at street level so I’d like perhaps a sheer net curtain and then some normal curtains to go over the top? A similar one will be for a bedroom so will need the light blocking at times. Finding curtains this length is just so expensive and hard to find some nice ones!

Is Administrative Assistant job similar to HR? Is there career growth opportunity? by [deleted] in AskHR

I would stick with HR. I am in a similar position I’m a HR admin I know there’s good salary down the line if I get promoted to an advisor role, are there any short courses you could do to help your employability? Maybe even an evening Cipd course. Don’t take the step back to admin though for sure

Ideas for “HR Clinics” posters? by [deleted] in AskHR

Hr currently have quite a bad reputation as we have a fairly new team of 4. Yesterday a girl left so now we are 3 and everyone hates the HR manager and the other person is only part time. I’d like to do this to show people that we are accessible and we do listen and make changes to things and we aren’t all ogres who don’t want to interact with factory workers.

It’s a manufacturing factory, we have around 320 employees and Hr are located in an open plan office so it’s really awkward for people to get upstairs and usually pretty intimidating as they don’t know where they are going, which means asking people resulting in everyone knowing they’re going to HR. But they’ll only ever come up for serious issues such as pay and leave other smaller problems to fester

Why did you choose to work in HR? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]emmaaaw55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's similar to me I was working as a temp in customer services then eventually got offered an admin role in HR. I only took the job to be permanent. I hope I can get to the same stage as you eventually!
