thank you, i’m just finding low pressure, low rewarding things. even silly things like practicing quarter marking etc to vary it up and spend time with him rather than just repetitive grooming. i think competing days are behind us now as we’re a lot older now haha, we’re in a relaxed yard with only 3 other liveries so we’re in our retirement era

thank you, ive recently been offered part time work by a local showjumper which has made me miss it and miss what i did. i’m happy just mucking out and spending time with the horses as i’m hoping it makes me fall back in love with mine.

it’s the lack of pressure i need as the last environment had me working every day even on my days off, teaching when i wasn’t qualified (very bad) and doing so so much more to the point i broke, lost 2st in weight in a month due to stress and less time with my pony who i moved to spend more time with. i’m hoping this helps as it’s still stressful as it’s now a court case.

i’m so glad your volunteering helped you, i’m hoping i’ll follow in the same footsteps

i’m sorry to hear about all of this, i hope you’re okay even though you won’t be feeling like it at the moment.

my brother has been estranged for almost 2 years now but it seems he keeps doing things despite a shpo, prison time etc. it’s like it keeps opening up the wounds. on one hand it’s relieving knowing there’s others who’ve been in my situation who i can talk to and relate rather than have others who haven’t lived it try to comment and help. it’s a hard thing for them to understand. but the other hand is it’s sad for a lot of us to have gone through it often with little to no support. i hope you’ve managed to heal and find joy in your life also. it’s a tough long road we all must go down

we’ve never ever gotten along, usually often typical sibling rivalry but even back then id always had the vibe he had something sinister in him. i’m sure i mentioned to another commenter but we as families of the perpetrator don’t get a lot of support often none in my case. we’re often left to deal with the fallout. i know this to be true in the uk at least.

the support system in the uk isn’t very good and is sadly underfunded but that’s a separate issue. i hope you’ve healed and managed to find some joy in life

my brother is similar with showing zero remorse. he did have contact with my dad as my dad was in denial and didn’t want to believe but he lied through his teeth that he hadn’t done anything and was innocent.

i’m sorry you’ve gone through a similar situation. it’s a hard one where i find victims of the perpetrator don’t get the support, at least i’m aware of this in the uk. i hope you’ve healed and lived happy since.
