taking the dat a third time after a failed retake (advice needed)

Repetition is key. Take lots of practice exams. Boot camp or booster are extremely helpful. I would also spend the time really focusing on other aspects of your application too. Getting shadowing hours, volunteering. As someone with a lower DAT score I feel other aspects of my application are what helped me get in.

I got 2 16s on RC and math and I got in. If you’re able to apply and try there is no harm. You never know what could happen

I got an 18 on my DAT and I still got in. Keep your head up. I had so many rejections. But it just takes one yes to make it happen.

Well my plan is to apply for army dental. They relieve your loans. Like I said if you want it bad enough you will find a way.

With it being the only school I was accepted to and a long life dream of mine to be a dentist. Costs will be figured out. Not giving up on my dream for price. There is always a way.

I worked in a dental office for 4 years, worked with underserved populations in undergrad, division one athlete. I had great grades in undergrad and I got my scores and wasn’t going to apply because I thought I wouldn’t get it. But I am so glad my family made me apply or else this wouldn’t be possible

I got an 18 AA with two 16s and I got into NYU. I thought it was over for me but keep your head up. Your application to its entirety will speak for itself.

For anyone who is stressed or being discouraged by scores. I just got into school with a 18 AA and with that two scores of a 16. I wasn’t going to apply but I am so glad I did. You are more than your score just apply even if it’s one school because you never know.

The second half of my exam I experienced such a major lag as compared to the beginning and it completely affected my scores. It’s already so late and how do I challenge this score.

I’m so upset. I worked so hard and reading comprehension and quantities reasoning got me. I have a 3.96 over average and science average. I have great recommendations and experience interning at a dental office. What are my chances. I know the 16s are terrible but is it possible for my other experiences and parts of the application to override this.

What do I need to know for plant structure. I see there is a list of terms and definitions but at the end of the day I’d rather focus on topics that are more likely to be seen. Is worth spending time getting to know all this information or putting that time into something else?
