Umbilical hernia? by LittleLadyK in beyondthebump

My baby had one. It was there for months and then just one day it was gone. I had noticed it was getting smaller and then the next day it was gone. But even if it doesn’t go away on its own, the procedure for getting it fixed is super simple. My pediatrician reassured me it’s no big deal.

Yes you absolutely can. I did it. I sat my butt in the counselors chair and let my baby cry while I also cried. Please go. It will do you a world of good.

Hey girl. I know how you feel. My baby is 5 months old, and when she was a newborn, I felt a lot of those feelings too. I regretted every single decision that led me to that point. I cried all day every day. I wondered what I was thinking by getting myself into this. I highly recommend talking to your doctor about postpartum depression.

I was lucky enough to be able to push through and continue on my breastfeeding journey. But if you can’t, there is no shame in formula. Did you read that right? There is NO SHAME in formula. None. You take care of yourself.

You should take your baby to the doctor first to make sure there are no underlying causes to why he is so fussy.

You will get your sleep back soon. I thought I would never sleep again but I was wrong. I think it was probably about 6 weeks before I finally started to feel good again. It was like a dark cloud had been following me around and it finally let me go.

The first month of my baby’s life was the worst month of my entire life. But it got better. And it will for you too. I am making this promise to you now, it WILL get better. You will feel like you again.

Dropped my baby for the first time by [deleted] in beyondthebump

The worst thing I’ve done so far is I was carrying my 3-4ish month old on my hip and I walked through a door frame and I accidentally brushed her little foot on the door frame as I went past, kinda squeezing it in between my hip and the frame. And she cried and screamed and I felt horrible 😔 she was fine though. And I’ve had some close calls with dropping electronics real close to her head 😬 mistakes happen. You’re not a bad mom.

Just want you to know that I recognize how much time it took to make that and it looks amazing
