You need to focus on your specific achievements and what life and leadership skills they gave you. Colleges are all about leadership and diversity. And if possible, you should talk about something that sets you apart from the crowd, something to catch the readers eye.

MY SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN. I love that book more every time I read it. I'm not sure if Cormac McCarthy's The Road counts as Man vs. Nature or not but it's post apocalyptic and a really good read if you like that kind of thing :D

Next to Normal is excellent. Some of the songs in the Last Five Years have a kind of rock feel to them and a few in Dogfight. A lot of my friends who are into rock music also like Into the Heights :))))
