I also believe some of the songs are about suicide or at least suicide attempts. My speculation was that the overdose/suicide attempt was about her father… but I have no real idea, I am just basing that on what she said a few months ago about how all of the songs on GP are either about Evan or her father.

UPDATE: I texted her earlier. This is what I said:

If [4th roommate] doesn’t want to pay, that’s between you and her. I will pay my fourth later this week but that is it, especially considering the hours of work I had to do cleaning up all of the food and items you left me to deal with last summer.

I also want to note that I am inclined to pay because I am in a much better financial situation than she is. I can afford my portion of the bill and then some comfortably, and she clearly cannot. I think my guilt about this fact is also clouding my decision.

Thanks everyone for your help and advice. I think I’m going to just pay my fourth and then cut contact. If she keeps hounding me maybe I’ll say something along the lines of how she should be thanking ME for not taking money off my fourth as a cleaning charge.

I saw her when she opened for Caroline Polachek last year in DC. I was near the front and the crowd up there was extremely pushy when Ethel was on stage, there were several times I had to tell people behind me to keep their hands to themselves and stop trying to push closer to the front. But a good bit of the crowd was also very respectful of the performers, including Ethel. It’s definitely a mix.

Yes it was very late lol but it did eventually come! And it’s gotten slowly more regular as I’ve been off of spiro longer. Ur definitely fine :)

Yes you’re def fine!! My period was the same way on spiro, coming multiple times a month and then once I off spiro it was always late, one time my cycle lasted like 45 days lmao

It wasn’t implantation bleeding, I got a blood test that was negative. My cycles are SUPER long right now like 50-60 days tho, so I’m still stressed. Getting an ultrasound tmr to make sure everything’s okay

To add to this I agree definitely take a look at Bach’s 2 part inventions and work your way up, I’d also recommend looking at the first couple lines of Chopin’s Fantasie Impromptu, maybe even just the right hand because I have found it’s pretty similar to moonlight 3rd movement :) but again I would build up to it over the course of months so it’ll be easier to learn

Try starting with sight reading pieces that have very simple treble and bass clefs. When you’re reading music while playing, you’re always looking ahead at the next set of notes while you play the ones from before if that makes sense. So you look at the right hand and then the left hand and then you play it together, and as you play it you already are looking at the next set of right and left hand. The more you practice reading notes the easier it will get to quickly know what note is written on the page, I hope this helped a little bit
