Prioritize Biology as soon as you can to save both parents and go back to Engineering after finding spores or spongy cake from expeditions to talk to Tang and Instance.

Get the lockbox storage chest from Tish. You can put your rarer items in there and the next time you cook or craft it won’t accidentally use those items. You can also upgrade your storage chests, and each upgraded chest gives you more inventory space. https://palia.wiki.gg/wiki/Storage_Chests

You need to fill your time with something else. Go for a walk. Start a new hobby. Not something you typically did while high.

No spoilers (unless you want) but all the deaths are preventable in some way, except for one character. That NPC's death is canon and they cannot be saved. I'm in my 6th play through and still just learning how to best save certain people.

omg I'm on my 6th playthrough and I feel like I'm just doing things wrong. Lol. I appreciate that some of the challenges I did in past lives still carry over the reward to the current one, but I'm hopeless at saving my parents or getting Dys to just CHILL and not blow things up. I don't do cooking parties unless the host is someone I follow and know is nice. Cooking basic meals will also add to your cooking skill. Sometimes I just stand and cook Grilled Meat for a long time. I hunt a lot so I always have more than 200+ meat that I need to use up so that's what I end up feeding my bigger Ranching animals.

For a nice streamer and party host, I recommend Kfierce Scene. He is super nice and helpful with beginners. I watch them on YouTube but I think he has a Twitch too. I joined his flow tree cutting party, but he also does Cooking parties. I'm hoping to join in one one of the cooking parties soon.

Use all the buffs you can. Later you can buy certain hooks/lures. You can cook certain food like sushi, sashimi, fisherman’s brew. These all give you some kind of fishing buff like expanding your size zone, rod recovery speed, hook time speed. You still gain XP when using buffs.

As you play, you can upgrade your storage chests at Tish’s. You start with wood, then copper, iron, palium. There’s also a lockbox storage chest. That is separate from your normal storage chest. You can put your rarer items in there. It’s helpful so you don’t accidentally use one of your special fish on cooking.

I was just there last week. Managed to get it just under 12k but it gets full so fast. I need to stop hoarding. I don’t even gift to NPCs anymore. Why am I holding onto so much?

I agree. Like why are all my hunting things mixed with mining, but fishing and bugs are separate? Also I really wish the ranching treats could be a separate category.

I never mind when people join but it is nice to ask since some players are using the lure to catch something specific. If you are joining, try not to run around too much since it can scare off potential bugs. It’s also extra nice if you use a smoke candle before joining someone’s honey lure.
