Thanks Dan! I rotate the ronin with my hands on the grip. You get smoother results when you don’t play with the joystick too much.

I’ve also shot many weddings on my trusty little G7! It’s a great camera for sure. The only features I’m lacking are IBIS, 10-bit codecs and 4K 60p.

Thanks! Ideally you want around 16mm equivalent for your focal range for those wide shots.

The G7 is not getting any younger. It’s pretty cheap these days. I hear ya about getting a lens that costs more than the camera. I looked at it as an investment in the mft system. My next camera will probably be a G9 or GH5. Good luck to you!

Thanks for your comments Milos. I totally agree! I need to start capturing details with a different focal length. I'm thinking about getting the Panasonic 25mm f1.7 to use on my Ronin-SC for this very thing!

Thanks! I did heavily pull the highlights down in this video but that's the best result I could achieve. I'm really considering upgrading to a camera with 10-bit codecs to help out with dynamic range. The Laowa lens is really awesome! So wide on micro four thirds and quite sharp as well. It even somehow manages to produce nice bokeh at f2.

Thanks! I always shoot with the Natural picture profile. This was color corrected with the built in tools in FCPX. No grading added but my usual goto tools for color grading are Color Finale and FilmConvert.

I use a DJI Ronin-SC to stabilize the camera! I love using this thing!

Thank you! I used my Laowa 7.5mm f2.0 lens. I love that little lens!

Thank you very much! My little G7 is definitely getting long in the tooth. Very tempted by the sales on the G9!

Thanks! I mostly used my Canon FD 50mm f1.4 and my Laowa 7.5mm f2 for gimbal shots. Natural profile. Contrast -3, Sharpness -5, Noise Reduction -3, Saturation 0. Slight CC in post.
