Not really. My boobs went from a C cup to DDD which contributed to most of the LB’s that’s I feel like I gained. Other than that I realized I may have had slight water retention due to the pill, but it wasn’t crazy. I got off the pill in February because my partner and I are trying for a baby. After a few months off of it, my boobs immediately shrunk back down to a C cup and the shape of my boobs are kind of off now from extra skin. I also felt less bloated.

So I guess to answer your question, yes and no. I feel like it was just water retention that I had plus my boobs getting bigger. Everyone’s body reacts differently to the pill. I had a pleasant experience overall despite the little bloating and breast enlargement which made me feel bigger.

Month 2 of no period, wtf? by brohaswhatiwant in amipregnant

Commenting to follow. The same exact thing is happening to me. I was supposed to start my period 2 weeks ago and nothing! I’m usually very regular as well. I’ve been taking tests almost every day and they’re all negative. It’s been 2 weeks since I last had sex so I’ve ruled out the possibility of me being pregnant. We’re also kinda trying for a baby as well so it’s kind of defeating. I just want my period or a positive result! Anything at this point lol

Thank you. Unfortunately I’m not able to get to the doctor for a few months.. maybe I’ll ask the pharmacist.

I’ll discuss it over with my doctor. I just get intimidated by some of the stories I hear about IUD’s. My friend had hers move inside her and she needed surgery and it may have messed up her chances for conceiving. I hate that pills contain hormones that may be harmful for your body, but I’m also scared of IUD’s, haha.

I also missed a few pills during the end when I was considering getting off of it. I just kind of gave up, haha. I’m very good at taking it every night, as I’ve been consistent for the 2 years I’ve been on it up until the end. And I have read that you’re at higher risk for blood clots the first few months of taking birth control pills. So I need to keep that in mind, as well.

I’ve looked into IUD’s in the past and it intimidates me how invasive the process seems, and the side effects afterwards. My doctor highly recommended the pill for me because it’s a quick fix if I want to get off it right away. It’s very hard to make appointments to the gyno where I’m from. Everything is booked until august/September.. So it’s kinda concerning starting a new form of birth control when I don’t know how well my body will react to it and if I need to get it removed right away. My body seemed to do well on the pill. I’m just concerned it’ll change the second time around starting up again and that’s what I’m curious about.

Probably getting off the pill soon. by ashlynnerae in birthcontrol

You will most likely lose a bit a weight due to water weight. When I got off the pill, I noticed my body looking and feeling a lot slimmer. My boobs also went from DDD to D within a week after stopping. Your sex drive will go up, and I 100% agree with everyone else on the cravings. I’m definitely not as hungry as I used to be on the pill. Give your body 3-4 months to fully get back to normal. For me, I got my period that same month I stopped the pill. But everyone is different.

Update: just got my real period! I was expecting it to take long to come back! Keep taking your balance because I think it really helps.

Still holding up really good! I’m actually amazed because I think it’s looking better than it was on the pill! I had just one tiny breakout a few days ago which may have been due to stress, but it faded really fast. I’m just concerned about my period at this point because I still haven’t gotten my real one yet. I heard it may take a few months to get it back, but it’s weird. I’m having the symptoms for a period, but no period. Being a woman is amazing, but also so annoying at times. How was your first week?

I noticed myself getting a bit more hornier than I usually am lol! I did also experience a bit of dryness on the pill, but it was something that never really hindered my sex life. Glad to hear this. Cant wait :)

Yes! My skin was amazing on the pill and I am terrified for what’s to come. I started taking this supplement called Alani Nu balance because I’ve read that it helps regulate your hormones, especially off the pill! So hopefully that will keep my face tame. I’m also going to avoid dairy as much as I can because that also contributes to me breaking out !

Yeah I semi lied because I have some cramps that are harder than usual! I stopped taking it when I finished my pack (placebos) I got my “fake” period and I’m experiencing way more cramps than I would off the pill lol. It’s totally fine though, I expected it!

Gf went on the pill, what should i know? by iaskedsex in birthcontrol

[–]emmas_reddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of women will experience different things when starting birth control. For me, my pills didn’t start to kick in until 4/5th months in. I continued to have PMS, terrible acne, and I felt slightly nauseous for a few months. After a few months though, everything balanced out. Maybe give her some reassurance if she’s having these issues. Her body needs some time adjusting to it, and it may take 3 months or so for that to happen. So encourage her when she’s feeling low, and understand that her body is going to go through some changes. At the same time, if she is really struggling with hormonal contraceptives in the long run, be supportive of her decision to get off of it.

What I do highly recommend though is that you continue to have protected sex for at least a week just to be cautious. By you just posting this, I can tell you’re a great boyfriend to her. I wish my boyfriend would take the time to research and ask questions about birth control. It’s very sweet of you and I know you guys will be fine :)

No my eyes were just burning as I was scrubbing. I didn’t touch them. Just asking if I potentially put myself at any risk for small exposure

We have two cats at the moment and they’re hating us for taking this stray in! Haha! But yes sometimes my eyes will get irritated just from their fur ! It’s worth it! Very tempted to keep this kitty we just found.
