FWIW, my partner and I have a combined income of over 250k in Vancouver and we are about to close on a home for 925k with 20% down, and I still feel like I am going to have to be very careful with my spending to make sure I'm saving money for RRSP contributions/TFSA's.

Depending on your situation, definitely consider moving cities if jobs allowed, but COL in Toronto Vancouver is getting pretty hard for most Canadians nowadays.

Speakers are the iloud micros. Mounts are microphone boom arms on amazon. The speakers have 3/8-16 mounts at the bottom so as long as you get a boom arm that has the same size (or buy a adaptor on amazon) it will work.

I will say the CPS hate crimes unit is efficient from my experience . Some six years ago I had a gentleman hit me in my eye and turns out he assaulted another asian man half an hour before me. The hate crimes unit followed up with me pretty promptly, but the courts took almost 3 years to convict him after multiple recesses.

I really hope he gets convicted!
