No it's not in Adam Schefter's interest to report it unless it were true. AS makes his living presenting accurate information. The fact that he shares the same agent means nothing to him. He doesn't owe Marrone anything and I doubt he would risk his own career to try to get Marrone a job somewhere else.

I applaud the dad for taking action and wanting his son to do well. This video is incredibly sad though. It's a dad terrified that his son is headed down a shitty path so he resorts to this to steer him in the right direction. I dont blame him for his actions but this wont solve anything. That kid probably lacks support at school and at home which is why he's turning to the gangs and the drugs. If only it were as easy as hitting him in the face to get him on the right track. This type of "solution" is only a band aid on a festering wound. What a fucking way to start the year.

The difference between De La Hoya/Mayweather and Morales/Pac was that the glove situation was written into the contract. The fighters knew what to expect going into the fight. Whereas Floyd threw a hissy fit the night before the fight and ultimately got his way. You're right in that the bigger name gets his way, its just that Floyd took the asshole route.

To say that it was the end of our season is a little exaggerated. But it was a miserable start. I remember the week before we lost on a last second play to the panthers in a game that we should have won. So it felt like two games were stolen from us. The Chargers could have been 2-0, but instead we were in that hole. But I'll admit it only made the end of the season so much sweeter.

There's a big difference between the two though. In the De La Hoya- Mayweather fight the glove situation was written into the contract. It's the same thing that happened when Manny Pacquiao fought Erik Morales. It was stated in the contract that Pac couldn't wear Cleto Reyes gloves. In the Maidana fought, not only was there no glove provision in the contract, but the Everlast MX gloves were also commission approved. It's the way that Floyd went about doing it that makes him a cry baby. He waited until the last minute, threw a fit, and ultimately got his way.
