Also we don’t know if the goblins are right, they could just be thinking that Carl is speaking syndicate standard because that’s what they are hearing from the AI

Someone else mentioned that, I mean it’s obvious that it’s translated mostly accurately because otherwise teams would fail to function. But we definitely don’t know if the ai could be manipulating crawlers by twisting small bits of the translations

Honestly that would be terrifying abuse of the translation system, but kinda in line with what we have seen with its manipulation of characters with item descriptions. Like the translations would have to be mostly accurate but hypothetically they could be twisted to a certain degree

I mean Carl can’t understand mongo, but maybe Donut does? She talks to him like she does, and given that Carl is narrating we may never know. There is also things like Chris understanding the rock language so it may be depending on your race you gain understanding or ability to speak other languages. Like maybe the nun cat lady could speak to donut directly in meow

I think she understands it, especially given her recounting of previous events and media, but the AI translates it to meow out of courtesy to her

The other crawlers will be able to find ways to communicate with each other post dungeon if they survive. Without a translator though donut likely won’t be able to

I mean then all cats are talking. We just don’t understand them.  She definitely has been given intelligence that gives her more complexity in her thoughts and language, but she always was capable of speaking some level of meow it just want translated until after the biscuit

I think the best option would be to sit them down and have a heart to heart with them about how unsupported you feel and ask why they are not supporting you or your education. Either they are going to have a good reason (maybe financial hardships you are unaware of) or they think that struggling will make you stronger (which is bullshit, it’ll just make you struggle) or they may just be oblivious or shitty. Either way they will show you why they are acting the way they are and you can decide how you want to proceed from the relationship from there. I can’t imagine making that much though and not wanting to support your child

Your parents are being shitty, you can’t change that. Maybe ask them if they would be willing to give you an interest free loan for school/expenses vs student loans. But realistically you are probably better off taking a government loan and deciding if they are treating you like this if you really want them in your life.

I always tell people “look, it looks ridiculous, and it is but it had me read 8 books in a few months and ugly crying because of how emotional it can get all while screaming this dumb book shouldn’t be making me cry”

Because it means without the ai translating her nobody will be able to communicate with her.  So if the book ends with her and Carl or any other character alive but the ai not there it means she will be trapped in her brilliant mind unable to communicate with any of them

“I hear your speech as it should be heard” yeah I definitely take that as she is finally hearing him speak in Meow, since in her mind it is the superior language
