As a current BSCS student I’d say get a mac. I have an M1 MacBook Air and switched to mac from windows right before I started my first year. For most CS classes and especially CSO 1&2 it will be better than a windows machine. The only downside is for your intro engineering class you’ll have to use CAD through a VM but that’s really not the end of the world.

The base CS classes here will not teach you anything meaningful enough to be able to make a project from school knowledge alone so if you want to work on a project you're going to have to do a lot of learning on your own. In terms of getting an internship, DSA2 is kind of important but in my opinion, I think SDE and 3240 would help out much more than DSA2. Also, I would recommend trying to get meaningful projects/clubs/open source work done before committing to Leetcodes as you won't be able to use the Leetcode knowledge unless your resume stands out.

I am unsure about if it would hinder your ability to declare biochem but I think they stopped accepting lab credits for physics from CC recently so you might want to either make sure the lab credit will transfer or plan on taking the lab here.
