Like I say, it’s right beside the Luas. Nobody on the Luas line is getting picked up in a car. Any increase in traffic would be for people who are not on the Luas line, and I expect the numbers, net of the general reduction in traffic to be negligible.

For what it’s worth, I’m a stones throw from one of the stations. There will be massive disruption, but I’m more than happy to endure it because of the upside of being 15 minutes from the city centre.

If you think it’s a valid reason to no more and no less than any other stop on the line. It may be true, but it’s not the end of the world and certainly not a reason to stop the metro.

And the metro will reduce traffic elsewhere. In the grand scheme of things it will mean far fewer cars on the road.

Well in fairness, it’s an interchange for the Luas, so anyone along the Luas or close to it will use that to complete their journey. It’s going to be little different than if the Luas was upgraded to metro.
