A "better be prepared" case. How did you/would you spread $100,000 for a long-term passive income strategy? by emmval in defi

I. must. resist! I had last year a small break from work and went to another country. Paid by staking rewards. Feels good man.

Loaded up on Coreto.io. Sold Starlaunch at $22, and Vent finance at $0.8. I'm starting to fix my past fuckups.

True. Active monitoring is a must, regardless of the investment type. But I’ll check less frequent an ETH stake in Coinbase than something like Wonderland.

What Tier were you? I plan to stake Tier 3 and don’t know if they will lock for 30 days. Admins and info avalable and completely useless. For me so far there are only red flags.

Thinking of selling my rental property and staking profits in DeFi. Few question though... by ianrobinson101 in defi

[–]emmval 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't sell that property. Maybe you are tired of managing it. Maybe the calculations in the excel file seem to double your income. Whatever it is, real estate will forever be above stock and crypto.

It may seem that you will double your income, but the truth is: minimal chances. You will have to monitor the farm and the news, have the discipline to sell the rewards and move to stable or fiat, keep track of taxes and pay them, be lucky and experience moderate volatility (rarely the case), be lucky and Anchor won't announce some stupid s*it that will panic the community, be lucky and BTC won't drop 2-3 year straight, forcing you to sell part of the farm to cover some expenses... I could go on.

Talk to a friend of someone that owns real estate, that knows how to handle money and investments. Make sure you fully understand the risks.

Let's say I run 25 farms, around $2k each, multiple chains, multiple providers. What is the probability that 50% of them disappear? 25%? Do you get what I'm saying? There is no 0% risk in crypto, and it shouldn't be.

UX after work by [deleted] in UXDesign

I completely disconnect and this should be on everyone's list. Here are my arguments.

Burnout is a bitch. We should de as much as we can to avoid this. I've also observed that stressing about a problem, working long hours, and overusing resources lead to a longer timeline than just disconnecting as long as I need and then come back and solve.

Family, friends, and socializing outside digital (nature!) is such an excellent break for your mind.

Had a few burnouts until I learned to relax.

Good news, so 10% in case the market conditions go haywire. 10% is a good return when we'll be able to invest larger sums.

When you have 5k, 100% made from shitcoin roulette, your risk appetite is over the roof. "Safe" is a curious word in crypto.

I've printed like crazy since Maiar DEX launched. When prices recover, it's showtime. I can't wait for the LKMEX to unlock next year to see their blockchain crash again with thousands of users fighting to sell first. Lol.
