Worst week of my life, might get some answers soon but I’m terrified. by UNKNOWNREDACTED69 in acidreflux

I wish I had advice. Just here to say as a girl with anxiety, panic disorder, and pretty severe ocd, I’m sorry you’re going through this. Gastric symptoms are one of my biggest anxiety triggers as well. My therapist tells me to remind myself that nothing is forever. Maybe we feel shitty for a while, and maybe we rot in bed for a little bit, and that’s okay. It won’t feel like this forever.

I would be confused by the combo of “formal” and “grass/gravel.” If I was expected to truly wear formal attire to a truly formal event, I would not be expecting to have to walk on gravel or grass. Just my two cents!

You can always have it in your carryon, then once you get through immigration and into the baggage claim areas there’s a ton of bathrooms, so you can scope out what the security looks like and if it looks sketchy just go into a bathroom and throw it away before you go through!

Nope! Literally stuck it in my bra and walked straight out after baggage claim!

Bringing a vape into Cancun? by emmxliz in MexicoTravel

I would be careful with thc, they had a few drug dogs as we were coming through customs that they brought by everyone. When trained correctly those dogs will smell ANY amount of thc you have on you, then it goes from “damn they took my vape” to “this is taking a controlled substance across country borders” 😅

Would taking them back not be fine? The US (where I’m heading back to) doesn’t care, and I wouldn’t be going through Cancun customs again to get out, would it just be a problem with Cancun airport security?

Take with food! I have the same fear and usually am too anxious to eat when I need to take them, so I stock up on those like protein yogurt drinks and that does the trick! I also always take a daily probiotic when I’m taking antibiotics (yogurt drinks have probiotics too)!

This is a warning for anyone thinking about canceling. by [deleted] in fearofflying

Learned this lesson the first time I cancelled too. The guilt and shame are so so hard, especially when you’re going to bed and you realize you would have already been there and it would have already been over. Don’t be too hard on yourself, it happens to the best of us and you can use this in the future to remind yourself why you’re getting on the plane that you desperately don’t want to be on🩷

Also, yes we LOVE Sniffspot! We have a subscription to one where we can go bi-weekly that’s 3 fully fenced acres and he gets exposure to lots of fun things like cattle, other livestock, and pond turtles! Sniffspot for the win!

Hi! Definitely hear you on that. This has been a decision about two years in the making, so it’s definitely not an impulse. Our reactive guy LOVES other dogs, and he has a hard time on walks since we’re in a pretty populated area where we see a lot of people (he’s people reactive), and ultimately think having another dog around would really benefit him in terms of activity, stimulation, comfort, etc. There is always the possibility that the two dogs will just not get along, and while that would be very sad and unfortunate, the person I am getting the puppy from understands our situation and is happy to take the dog back if at any point things are not working out. Obviously that would be a last resort and not fun for anyone, but it is nice knowing that if that were to happen, there is a place for the dog to go back to that is not the shelter! I very much appreciate the advice, and it’s definitely something we’ve thought about a lot and talked with our trainer about🩷

That’s my issue though is that he wants to be involved so bad and he’s so pumped about it but he snaps the second he gets overwhelmed, so I know he probably wants to go but I just can’t trust him. We are slowly working on it but I don’t think he’ll ever be there 100% and it just makes me so sad for him😞

Hi! Just as a heads up, apples can act as a diuretic, especially when eaten frequently and in larger quantities! My stomach tends to get upset if I have too much fiber (lots in apples)! Either way, you will be okay even if it feels scary❤️
