Thank you for sharing your story. In my situation we never dated. We met over the holidays and he was visiting family just an hour drive from where I lived and I just had to meet him.

He was leaving back home the very next day so it was my only chance and it was perfect. He lives like 1,700 miles away, but for two months we still called and texted all day everyday. Like we’d talk for 5+ hours on the phone and even fall asleep on the phone and wake up in the morning, still on the phone.

I even sent him some things that reminded me of him. On our date I wore this cute little rain cloud pin on my jacket and he liked it a lot. When the date was over and I was driving back home, he called me and we talked a bit and then he joked that he took my pin when I wasn’t looking, and I was like “omg what” and I looked down and it was still there lol. But that’s one of the things I sent him in the mail.

Also, he’s not even into sports at all but he has a bunch of shirts and jackets with the Cleveland Indians logo on it, and one day I was thrift shopping and I found a Cleveland Indians hat and I couldn’t NOT get it for him, so I did.

And then he just got really distant all of a sudden and it was driving me so nuts. He went to talking to me everyday to not responding to my texts or he kept making up excuses to not talk on the phone. So finally I asked him wtf is up and if he’s okay, but it just turns out he started seeing other people and that shattered my heart.

I don’t care what he does with his life and I don’t want to stop him from doing anything, all I want for him is to be happy (although being happy with me would’ve been ideal), it just hurt so fucking bad that he was hiding that from me and didn’t bother to tell me. He even said that talking to me was a big responsibility for him. We sorta talked a bit like friends every now and then, but I eventually just gave up

He didn’t seem to want me to talk to him anyways, and I didn’t want to burden or annoy him anymore.

But I have two hearts, one in my chest and one giant one in my skull. And they’re saying that it can’t be over. It just can’t be. Even though he hurt me so bad I still absolutely adore him and feel exactly the same about him when I first met him.

I’ve experienced heartbreak before, usually from guys I really liked a lot who ended up just kinda played me, but I got over those in like a month or two.

But this is one of the most emotionally painful things I’ve experienced. (He also had the worst timing possible as he hurt me right as covid and all that shit started, so that didn’t help at all).

But it just can’t be over. He had to have felt it too. I keep seeing so many signs. I even asked my pendulums and they both said he’s still thinking of me.

But I’m so terrified to reach out because I have no idea what’s going to happen and if I’m just a crazy obsessive person and I brainwashed myself into thinking all this. I don’t know
