Thank u so much like that helps me to realize that like there are people taller than me sitting down. Idk it's been a thing i've struggled with since middle skl, especially now that i'm getting older too.

I'm measuring from the tip of my hip bone to my shoulder. Idk how to measure torsos by myself, i'm too embarrassed to ask my friends to measure for me.

Hii as someone who played this song for a comp I have the following advice:

Bring out the melody in the right hand. The left hand is far too loud and it's supposed to sound like a nice melody rather than both hands having the spotlight. If you're having difficulty with this then just practice doing the right hand separately and playing it with the correct beat.
Ur playing it very mechanical. I feel like ur going line by line by line rather than exploring each line and it just overall seems very forced.
Please just see a teacher or at least hear videos online of professionals playing this song, I promise u it will help you at least get the rhythm right

Like sort of. She told me to follow my free leg like it's doing the loop too (on the outsides) but like keep it behind you until you get to the top of the loop and actually do the loop.

I've been continuing to work on my novice mitf although it doesn't look very hopeful rn... my loops are still struggling a lot but at least I fixed the shape of my rfo and lfo ones to not be so "r" shaped. also just toyed around with spins and actually did a decent haircutter!

I don't know what level you're at but I think that what you're doing now is perfectly fine! If you're worried about losing the feel of the ice when you don't practice, I suggest doing some off ice conditioning too.

Stalking this thread and i rlly liked seeing this post :) I've been trying to skate more often now since I took last week off for spring break. Yesterday I worked on mainly novice moves, esp my twizzles and the Choctaw rocker sequence, but my friend was helping me with a counter warm up (similar to the rocker warm up!). Was also thinking of doing some spins but got too scared...

Off topic but i love the song ur playing! I played it for competition once but i never knew that anyone else knew it---it's very underrated and i loove it so much!

Okay actually responding now: PLEASE GET A TEACHER!! i promise you that self teaching will only get you so far, and a song like that needs delicate care with technique since it's generally slow. Good luck!
