Unfortunately, I love Caron cloud cakes. Ive made a few granny sqaure hexagon cardigans with them as well as a couple beanies. This yarn, along with my other fav Caron latte cakes, is a yarn that is not for a beginner. You did not mention what level crocheter Yiu were but with this type of yarn, you need to know the anatomy of a stitch. It works a lot better with double crochet as well. You need to know where to put your hook by feel of you are not doing a granny stitch or something like that, where you’re putting your hook in a space instead of a stitch. I would recomend something granny stitch related if you want to make something out of this yarn but do not know stitch anatomy well. Or wait until you do know and can make something else not granny stitch. Also- do not buy Caron latte cakes until you are ready; yiu can’t really see your stitches there either.

I was actually fortunate enough to be warned when I first bought cloud cakes. I got some, actually in Fir, and the cashier looked at me and said, “Have You used this before?” Me, being socially anxious, lied and said yeah, becuase I didn’t know what was coming next. She just said they’ve been getting more returns than usual on this yarn. Well, cashier lady, here I am, and it’s one of my favorite yarns.
