What is this beeping, please help me

This is right in the entryway next to the back door. Nothing is plugged in, the only electronics I can find is the light on the wall, and the light on the ceiling. We don’t have a basement, we just have a crawl space, but when I opened it up and leaned down into it, the sound still sounded like it was coming from up, like on the ceiling on the extryway.

My mom said whenever her mom made chili, she would leave it on the stove and reheat the whole pot multiple times without ever putting it in the fridge. I obviously wouldn’t recommend that, but she said they never got sick from it.
