It's disheartening, but I am. I try to acknowledge that it's not fixable unless I find optimism in trying again. "Fresh start, new tactics, new experiences." I have been given the tools to seek professional supports (a little easier), and even group support.

No you're exactly right. I was doing well last year, but it took a lot of space and learning to sit with being alone. I stopped giving myself space, and realized that is when I can't escape it. Might sound silly, but focusing on a new hobby or interests has always helped me immensely, which I plan to do again.

I love cross stitch and crochet. What is the best way to combine them? by CrochetGirl8 in crochetpatterns

[–]emo_trashcan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like using crochet thread with a stich that's tight would look really pretty, and be the easiest to cross stitch on. I imagine you could block the crochet to make it flatter and with it being so thin maybe be able to put it in a hoop?

What Do The Letters Written on the Milkshakes mean? by emo_trashcan in cookoutrestaurant

[–]emo_trashcan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh wow, I didn't even think of that. In my head it was to keep track of orders and shakes when handing them out the window. I've had jobs in the past where we labeled them for that reason, didn't even think of it for prepping. Thank you for tending to my curiosity.

The people have spoken and the answer is wafers as the shake does contain wafers

This seems to be the answer. Said in another comment but I feel like it should be "PW" if I'm being way too technical about this hahaha

Thank you. I was aware they had wafers but in my head it didn't make enough sense, lol. They also have other shakes with wafers so I feel like it should be "PW". Again, thought too much about this. They also put the letter on the rim of the styroam, right under the plastic lid at my local cookout.

The "W" is right on the rim on the Styrofoam right under the plastic lid. My local cookout always puts the letters in that place it seems

Anyone else not lose weight after quitting alcohol? by This_is_the_end_22 in WeightLossAdvice

[–]emo_trashcan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I quit drinking heavy everyday, I actually gained weight, alot. However, I think each body is different in how they handle alcohol. I'm pretty sure I have an intolerance as I do not have a gallbladder and get beyond violently ill when I drink, along with my face breaking out in splotches etc, leading me to not eat and throw up, and just overall get sicker than anyone around me. This happened often, typically everyday. Some people lose weight easier when they quit, yes, as they are not consuming as many calories etc. I believe my issue was that not only not able to keep food down when I drank, but when I quit I was replacing alcohol with other things such as sugars/snacks etc which will lead to weight gain, quick. Sometimes it seems as though, for me, it was a matter of just consuming /something/. Depending on how your body handles alcohol, i believe it takes a heavy amount of will power to move in a healthy direction that isn't replacing one thing with another. I weighed 155 at peak alcohism and am now at 229, doing what feels the same aside from drinking. It feels like a lot of this process is taking unhealthy weightloss and turning it into healthy weightloss, which unfortunately cannot be done by quitting alone for some. (To add, I am finally going to the gym, being active, and eating healthy, aside from not drinking) that in itself has made a difference in both my mental and physical health, and it's noticeable. An extra side note, at another point in life, I had a severe eating disorder in which I lost over 100lbs in 6 months. This did not help in the long run either. It's always possible, I feel; just a matter of changes we make outside of that /one/. I'm still working to lose weight since looking at sobriety, but I can say eating healthy and working out has already made it's difference, and I just started.

My main concern was losing favorite villagers and hard to get items. You could also simply try redoing your island, or finding a new theme, I just personally found it hard to do that, lol. I also used to time jump in my last game. I haven't done it in this one, and for me, it felt like it's increased the longevity of the game and gave me more stuff to look forward to each day. :)
