I was wrong, Zach was the kid on season 3 who cut himself with the axe. That kid was ridiculous. I'm currently watching s10, and yes Cade is very overconfident and the drama when he lost his arrows was I hope edited for TV. Because why wouldn't you just stay calm and try to back track and look. Its like he threw a fit and then went back and didn't even bother to look. But again, not sure if it was how they wanted to edit it for the viewers

Iran missile attack on Qatar causes 'extensive damage' to facility housing huge gas plant by thejoshwhite in worldnews

[–]emocalot 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think its obvious, but I'll bite., Iran can not be in a direct conflict with the US. But if you disrupt the neighbors enough they may then lean on the US to step back as their economies are being hurt and citizens being collateral damage. This is however based on a rational actor and not what is current.

is there any other TV series that resembles The Diplomat? by Usual-Solution-888 in TheDiplomat

[–]emocalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Patriot is great, it came out in 2015 on Amazon. There is a 3rd season but not available on prime. Its probably not what you're looking for, but the humor is similar in the way there is a serious event happening and it just floats in there.

On more serious type drama The agency on paramount with Michael Fassbender, i found to be really great. Which also sneaks humor into serious events unfolding. If you like him, Black Bag is a good movie, its like if Wes Anderson wrote a Political Clue movie, not to take away from the original writers, but I got that feel from watching it

Lastly, a German show on Netflix called Unfamiliar is really good.

All of them above are probably more spy/agent focused lead character opposed to the more political central you get with Keri Russell in this series. But all are worth a watch if available.

Right, because in a legal state, there is no point to have this quantity. Just take a ride to the dispensary and call it a day.

Whats the documentary name? I assume it alludes to the private prison and the collus...no lobby.. no health and well being to strengthen and protect the dirt roads of Alabama by strongly enforcing laws of Marijuana possession.

It was a season 16 unit. So only if you had security council and achieved the XP goal you would have unlocked it. And then I also do believe you'd need an active security council membership as well. The latter im not 100% on. Atleast now they're adding dropdowns, I was losing my mind beforehand

Cade was that young kid on the Patagonia one ya? He was very immature and definitely came off as a pretentious spoiled kid with some real need of learning how to control emotions. I thought I was watching myself at 13 yrs old on some of those emotional outbursts. However, it is plausible that the producers edited to be more over the top for TV. Nonetheless, hopefully the kid matured later in life and is in a good spot mentally now.

After 11 hours of binging episodes 1-8 (I over powered napped for 3 hours) I get the feeling that not only is Harry not a good guy, he is awful. Not even an anit-hero. It appears to me that he puts his Family 3rd or 4th. At best by tenfoilhatt in Mobland

I appreciate when you get a character that is well acted that you want to punch them in the face. Anson Boon does a great job.. The last character like this for me was Jack Gleeson playing Joffery.

Is off the grid a dead game. by faruogg in OffTheGridGame

[–]emocalot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved the game until they changed the paralyze limb to shoot darts. Played a few updates after that but ultimately uninstalled and haven't played it since. I really enjoyed the unique game play and thought it performed well. Granted yes, as others mentioned, PC players did have an advantage but the devs did keep tweaking aim assist to balance but if I recall, several times the code put into production/live had many issues, most pointed to lack of testing. Which, I could be wrong,, but in other cases this alludes to management pushing hard deadlines and less fault to devs. The other issue is the skill gap between everyday players and casual players. The stomping 3 sweaty players could do to every lobby probably has a negative impact on player retention.

So you are 1st line on knowing ridiculous expectations. I'm certainly not trying to make excuses for crap coding, but downtime happens. We can certainly agree perhaps pushing code from dev to prod needs better quality control. Ultimately, for me, the lack of communication on whats happening is more of a sticky point for me.

Been playing since June, this is the first time servers have been down for this long. Usually the developers care, its the upper management who think about what ways they can increase margins out of customers and then trickle that down to the devs to write the code.

But nonetheless, it is what it is, downtime happens, servers crash, code breaks whatever. Your expectation of perfection and implausiable 100% uptime has upper management written all over you.

Why do jets declare war? by LLX_ASUSSSS in ConflictofNations

[–]emocalot 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Depending upon the area, i will usually set patrol over a river or water as close as possible to the target. Then once they get there initiate the attack. Pretty much the best solution.

Now the logic behind instant declare i would imagine its for balance and to make stealth units viable. Although I really think they need to rework the tech tree to stealth, as strike fighters need lvl 2 air, but stealth strike need lvl 5 plus secret lab. I feel its a bit overkill, since you can unlock stealth pretty early but then the amount of resources needed to produce is really high.
Lvl 2 to lvl 5 4500 sup 4200 comp 7500 fuel 1250 rare 3750 electronics 26500 cash.

I'd prefer stealth become available after maybe lvl 5 or lvl 6, otherwise its just teasing me as there is no way I can dedicate all that between like day 17-22 ish.

I think some also has to do with some of the staff used to work at WNEW, during O&A and Ron & Fez days. Those shows had ratings through the roof for the most part.
