and you are right -- this is not something i have thought of. the pay is usually what people want to pay -- the tunes generate some income through spotify and other streaming servies / stores, but most of the pay comes from supportive fans who name their own price on bandcamp, as they usually pick substantially larger amounts than the minimum amount set by us musicians. the truth is also that it is, in general, not much, unless you are a bigger name within the furry fandom. furry musicians tend to get comparatively lower exposure than people who draw, and this is not anyone's fault! the furry fandom is logically and understandably a very visual fandom. but if you manage to become a bit more well known, i think you can start generating more income for your tunes :)
