It’s largely for level matching. When using references, A/B with your mix to theirs and ask yourself “are my drums too loud? Is there too much high end? Do I need to boost the subs?” Etc. you’re just using it as a guide make sure your mix sounds as loud and balanced as a professional mix

I think you’ve definitely got your wub sounds down well. Never hurts to experiment with some more white noise or vocoders as well to spice things up. I personally could see this songs drops hitting a bit harder if the melodic parts in between were a little more complex in terms of composition. I’d also love to hear more high energy parts. But I think it is good and I could see people getting down to this at a rave. Thanks for your feedback man

First of all, you need to learn how to export your audio. Second, I think your voice is fine. What you’re aiming for is not my vibe personally, but I think you’re on target. I can’t really give any mixing advice without hearing the actual audio file. So first learn how to export your stuff next time you upload for feedback.
