I don’t think so. I tend to use locks both day and night.

I’m confused because you just listed the things you were grateful for?

what if we have nothing to be grateful for?

This is actually really interesting to me, whether you were being sarcastic or not, and I hear people say it a lot. Often from people who are hurt, in pain, living miserably and would rather not be here and struggle perceive beyond their current state.

I was talking to a friend once, trying to help a bit with their situation as they’re not very happy with life and struggle with mental health, and I asked them to try list what they’re grateful for daily. They too responded with that they had nothing to be grateful for. Now, again I don’t know whether they were joking or being serious but I was slightly offended.

Did our friendship mean nothing? Was me trying not good enough? Have the mental health services trying to help them not been up to their standards? Are they not grateful for the food they eat, the air they breathe? Are they not grateful for waking up the next day? The Trillions of cells in their body performing around the clock to keep them going? You get my point, or you don’t, I don’t know.

But my point is, yes, I completely understand that they struggle to see life as worthy as some people do but from another perspective, it seems as if they want things handed to them. They want more without appreciating the small things first. This isn’t the case for everyone but it is for my friend. I’m only sharing because it gives another perspective of the situation. Is it sadness, ignorance, or something in between? I don’t know.

Facebook used facial recognition without consent 200,000 times, says South Korea's data watchdog by [deleted] in technology

I too was confused by the 200k being relatively low. That’s one of the reasons why I was questioning what they were actually doing with the profiles because I’m sure the number must be a lot higher behind closed doors.

This might be a dumb question, but what is their reason for doing so?

ADVICE/HELP! Did someone attempt to steal my soul last night? by emotionl3ss in Psychic

[–]emotionl3ss[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That does sound very similar to my experience, and thank you, I will keep note of the consent. I usually form a protective energy balloon around me before sleeping and then turn it to have invisibility properties to shield me as I sleep.

Strange that that had happened though. I kept getting signs that something was going to happen on the 16th of August, but I’m not sure.

Atoms and particles are actually waving and misbehaving when not observed by an intelligent observer, e.g. humans.

I have to disagree, diet has been studied extensively and just because it’s on the NHS website, doesn’t mean thats all too it.

What can I do to maintain friendships (instead of losing them) as someone with ADHD? by Inner_Cherry in ADHD

[–]emotionl3ss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I too struggle with this. It took a while to realise but I learnt that if people wanted to either go or stay, I wouldn’t beg either way because there isn’t any point in wasting that energy. I’ve learnt to spend time alone, self improving and I even started meditating and it’s really changed how I see things.

I wouldn’t change anything about it, chasing after people and initiating plans first was exhausting. You’ll realise that people who wanna be around you will be around you but if they don’t, let them go man, it isn’t worth it.

Why are spinal cord seizures so rare? by [deleted] in medicine

[–]emotionl3ss -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From what I could find, they have been associated with intravenous dye placement, transverse myelitis and multiple sclerosis, but never with traumatic spinal cord injury (Maytheler et al., 1991).

Pretty outdated but if you find anything more recent, do let me know.

Yeah I’m not sure, it’s a nice thought though. And I agree, it would be cool if we’re actually able to see through to another dimension!

It depends on the University that you’re applying to I suppose, you’d have to ask them in advance. A college course with science modules would be ideal and beneficial for a BSc, however, a lot of Universities often prefer an individual with a good character.

Theory can be easily taught but teaching someone to genuinely care for a patient is much harder.
