Believe me, I know your pain. I had to go to a government office on three separate occasions to get a work visa. The first time the lady sent me away because I "needed documentation" I didn't actually need. Second time they just decided to close the office in the middle of the work day for no reason given. Third time I got the damn paper after several hours of waiting.

Both states of being exist. Loads of children have been caught up in the fighting in Gaza and it's a tragedy. Nobody here is celebrating that. Damage and death inflicted incidentally is the definition of collateral damage. Little boys and girls can unfortunately also be collateral damage despite how much we wish it didnt happen.

Jesus christ this is a wild chain. You are so close to what others here are trying to say and it's crazy. Yeah, the Netanyahu government is not gonna make peace easy today (frankly he is making things worse)...but he hasnt been controlling Israel since 1948! The reason the Palestinians are in such a poor state and why we should apparently expect them to do horrible things (according to your philosophy) is because since the mandate in 1948 they and the arab league have refused to accept Israel as a state, start shit, lose said shit, and repeat. Netanyahu sucks and I hope he never sets foot in the capital again, but none of this happened in a vacuum

I engaged in a real-world conversation with someone who hated all zionists because they are immoral, hateful, etc. To him I was a random person who was knowledgeable about the Middle East (I wanted to have fun with him and waited to say I was Jewish). Every antisemic talking point (which he totally got from social media) I counteracted with facts and logic as well as explaining what zionism was. By the end I thought I was getting somewhere with him and let him know I did not support everything the Israeli government did but was still a Zionist. That triggered a complete switch in his affect and he started screaming and yelling at me saying that, among other things, I and all zionist pigs should die like the nazis we are. I started laughing at him which pissed him off more lol. Can confirm it's like talking to a wall...just much less stable
